henderson 16m cash - ngog staying.....for now

Think that will be a better deal, IF someone comes in with a 5-7mil bid for snoopgog.

A lot more deadwood to get rid off, Comollli will have his work cut out for him.

So with Henderson all but done I would like us to sign a CB (Dann, Cahill, Shawcross), LB (Baines, Enrique, Izzymaguire), 2 x Winger (Mata, Downing, ???), Keeper (Doni) and CF (Wickham).

So 7 more players

Things are starting to heat up, with all the rumours of Henderson, Wickham and Jones.

Be great to get all the young english lads in asap and then in July acouple of big european signings in july.Would be optimistic enough about next season*.

* Important info for all manc fans, this does not mean I think Liverpool are going to win the league

Talk of the Ashley Young deal being tied up for 16m. I'm not sure about the value there.

I think Young will prove to be a very good buy.  £16 million is the kind of money you would expect him to go for.  When you look at what Carrick was bought for or what Henderson is being flouted for, then this looks a great bit of business.

Think he only has a year left on his contract though.

Good player all the same

Reroute the flute.

Music never was a strong point! Saying that I'll probably stay out of the Minuan.

Cheers for the other advice lads. Was looking last night and there is some place called Westport House and Pirate world or something similar, is it worth a visit?

Heading to Achill for the 12th week. Been a right few times so know the island pretty well.

So basically asking what is to do in surrounding area? Is westport worth a day trip? Anywhere else?

Any Achill/Mayo locals here that could point out any hidden treasures?

There'll be a 1 & 2 yr old so frequent pub visits will be limited :(

Hope it's not Warnock to be honest, although a decent honest player, we should be aiming higher if we want to get back into the top 4.

LB's that have been mentioned are Enrique, Izzyguirre (or whatever you call him), Baines and Coentrao. All are an improvement no doubt but Baines wouldbe my choice. Solid defender, great on the ball, plenty of assists and good at dead balls.

Izzy and Coentrao who are that new bred of full back, where they are nearly more attack minded than defence. With Johnson in the rb slot this could leave us wide open. I suppose you could then argue that attack is the best form or defence.

Haven't seen enough of Enrique to pass judgement, but there are good reports for him and he would be the cheapest of the 4.

So to conclude...Baines 1st choice but realistically would take any of them

Anyone recommend a self-catering house in Achill? Preferably in Dugort or Keel. It would need 3 bedrooms at least and good location to beach, pubs, shops etc

Sure them two fellas would be too ugly for anyone to want to have a affair with them.

Tell that to...

Really want a new english CB to come in. Is Dann the answer? What about Jones, Shawcross or Cahill? All big money mind but I guess it needs to be spent.

Haven't seen enough of Newcastle to comment on Enrique, but heard he's had a decent season. Again is he the answer?

As for the marquee signings, would love players along the lines of Hazard, Turan, Lavezzi, Sanchez. Players with that x-factor a la Suarez who can create goals out of nothing.

Downing's had a good season and Carroll would definitely prosper with himin the team.

Hope to god all business is done early and not waiting on 31st Aug to complete deals. Get them all in early and get a good preseason behind them.

Players out should be:

Degen, Poulsen, Ngog, Konch, Jovanovic, Cole and pains me to say it Aggerand Aurelio who just can't be relied ondue to  fitness. (prob missing someof the dead wood)

You/some fellow mancs/ec notsounique's winding up ability is really poor and/or knowledge of football is similar

that is all...

Would agree with that, there certainly are a few mancs who on here occasionally let the mask slip, whether this is down to lack of knowledge or something more sinister remains to be seen.

Got the niece's confirmation today. She is the oldest of the nieces/nephews by a right few years, consequently she was spoilt rotten for about 5 years. As a result she is feckin loaded.

My question is how much do you usually give a niece on her confirmation?
I'd say 200 should be ok.

Feck that...is there not a protestant rate?!! ;)
Alright, stick 20 in a card and that'll do the job.

btw, I thought protestants had confirmation?

We do but as far as i see not as much importance is put on it plus it ain't a money racket
