You're a bit touchy tonight Dougal. What'd Tony do on you?

He's done nothing on me at all Zig. Its just having grown up during the Troubles and now having a 14 year old kid who's taking a great interest (more than I would consider to be healthy in all honesty) in all things IRA related, I'm minded how young people can be influenced by the rhetoric of people like Tony who are happy to do the stirring up and even more than happy to stand back and let others who may be influenced by what they say, actually take up the fight

Excellent show, filled with humour and pathos, and more Provies in the audience than there ever was in the Kesh :D.

Go see it!

People like you take me to the fair. You come across as being the big republican and all that, while in actual fact I'd be pretty sure that your only contribution to the 'cause' is to support Celtiic and the Republic of Ireland, play Wolfe Tones CDs out loud when travelling on your own in the car, and write letters to newspaper editors to wind up 'the other side'

Regardless of a recession or not i believe that there should be a pay cut, but the work practices are just rediculous, what type of a job gives you upto 10 days uncertified sick leave, 35 hour weeks, flexi time, option of a year off, a pension and the fact you will never lose your job. Whats makes things worse is that there is a huge amount of the people on 40k + without a degree or any 3rd level qualification, they are there just so long that they keep getting increases. And to get a job you just need to no somebody, i think the lads in Dell have more skil the most of the civil service!

I find it hard to believe that these clowns feel hard done by.  ::)

By the spelling and punctuation displayed in your posts I think you're the clown and a right wing looney to boot

I'm led to believe that the Late Late insisted that the GAA pay for the Artane Boys Band

The programme was a disgrace. I only saw up as far as Brush Shields and fortunately I had to go out and missed the rest. My sports mad kids who'd watch tiddlywinks on telly if it was on also stopped watching at that stage. RTE should be ashamed of itself. I couldn't believe it when they cut out the singing of The West's Awake, despite the fact that Eileen Dunne referred to it specifically. People should be writing to the newspapers to highlight their anger. I'm not from the south but I'd be pretty pissed off to see my license fee going on that sh*te

I'm with Zulu on this one. I'm an Armagh man and I've already bought a family ticket for myself and the wife and the two kids to go to the event. I've heard a rumour that Horslips may be getting together to play a set at half time.

I hope he's sub titled otherwise you non Ulster folk might have difficulty understanding him as he speaks Irish with a strong Donegal accent

Heard it from good authority that Horslips are re-uniting to provide the half time entertainment. Just bought a family ticket even though I'm an Armagh man. DElighted to hear that Tankie et al will be outside, although I remember in 2003 the opening match of the league was Armagh the then AI champs v Dublin and I didn't hear any talk of boycotts them. I also seem to recall that we hammered the Dubs that day but thats another story

It's an absolute outrage, however its nothing new and as long as the US continues to bankroll the most aggressive force in the Middle East without any sanctions whatever their actions there can never be any hope for the millions of Palestinians trapped in an open hell prison since 1947

On the subject of the Vatican, this discrimination business is not just one way. A mate of mine, from the Protestant community, told me he'd like to become Pope one day. The idea of the extravagant lifestyle and extensive holidays together with the hope that he could become the father of millions were factors in his decision. He wrote a letter which I handed in, on his behalf, to my Parish Priest. However he accused me of wasting his time and threw the letter in the fire. Needless to say no white smoke emerged.

Nolan is a complete twat. Its not all that long ago he was on about anti social behaviour by students in the Holy Land, however he seems to be quite content to tolerate it in the classroom. Patricia Lewesley is a joka and I agree with Lecale, what the hell does she do all day every day

For the last 2 years or so the Irish Digital TV Body was running a digital tv test in Dublin and North Leinster. During this period I was able to receive all the Dublin TV and Radio stations from the Cooley transmitter in North Louth through the digital freeview facility on my television. The test stopped at the end of August but RTE indicated that they intended aid they'd continue it on. I've noticed that while its back on I can only get sound and no picture when I now turn to the digital freeview facility on my TV. Has anyone else in noticed this or got any ideas what the problem might
