Look-Up!

For me it would depend on the asking. Basic manners shouldn't be so hard. If someone respectfully asked me to call them they, and I could see it was genuinely a big deal for them, I would make an effort to appease, although it is a completely alien concept to me and I might slip up now and again without thinking. If on the other hand the pronoun was demanded off me by some jumped up little wannabe my inclination would be to tell him/her to f**k right off.

But that's got little to do with this case. Cannot stand the Burkes and they deserve everything they get. Not an ounce of manners or decency between the lot of them and bare faced liars to boot.

Would agree with all of that tbh.

Strange one this. 19 suspensions seems abit excessive- obviously no one deserves to feel intimidated at work but if you're going to work in a school with teenagers you can't afford to be too precious. Hard to comment on it without knowing the full detail

Why? What difference does it make to you? I don't understand the reason someone would choose pronouns for themselves but who am I to say they shouldn't just because I am content with how I'm addressed? And if using a different word makes life easier for them and makes sh1te all difference to me, why would I choose to not do that?

I'm trying to think of a scenario when having a discussion with someone right in front of me when I wouldn't either be using their name or using "you"...

How would he/she/them ever be needed unless talking about them to another person

Here's a parent who doesn't understand how teenage boys act the bollox when in their own peer groups.

""I am disgusted to hear her terminology such as "masculine toxicity" with my son's name beside it. Anyone who knows my son, knows he is the most lovable, kind natured, humble young person with the utmost respect to all. Some of these boys have never even had a detention.""

In that scenario would you not be using the pronoun "you" when talking to them?

He certainly likes to grandstand!

Widely available, for years now, if you cared to look.
Strangly usually had better things to do. If it's anything like the family's performances in court and other public places is well away from children.
As for calling one person they... not in a hundred years would I do it. If a man decides he's a woman, 'she' no bother but 2 persons for 1 individual is taking the p*ss.. not even possible.
Although I think God claimed to be 3 persons in 1 🤷

QuoteWhat about "yousuns"?

What about ' our blade'? (Surely blades don't  have a gender?)

Tyrone folk  seem to use that a lot.

And yet you do anyway. Strange indeed.

Literally had thus conversation with my wife earlier. A local school in Armagh is having some grok related issues and she knows a few of the boys as well reared young fellas but as a teacher she also knows how they can be immature pricks when surrounded by their mates.

And people who feel they don't fall neatly into male or female?

Leaving aside your views (whatever they are) on transsexuality, in what way are you being inconvenienced or damaged by using someone's preferred pronouns? Is it not a matter of simple politeness and respect?
