That family won't ever stopped. Any semblance of support they have/had is gone..

It's a family of severe Autism problems
I see Enoch got released today. Judging by the amount of stuff he had out with him he seems to have gathered a lot of stuff since November. Given that he'll probably be back behind bars before the middle of next week it would have been handier if he'd left some of it behind him
I agree with the point Enoch is trying to make, however the way he and his family are going about it is wrong. Just making complete t*ts of themselves now.
What is that point?

Being told he has to call a child them is going against his religious beliefs. Thats the point.

Look-Up!

Except that's not why he was disciplined.

I'm not sure I could bring myself to call a person 'they'. Nothing to do with religion, I just dont understand how one person can be two persons.
However that's not the full story and I'm sure he could have got round that...
Court paper states:
Mr. Burke has been dismissed on the grounds of gross misconduct arising out of (1) his refusal to obey a direction of the school that a transgender pupil be addressed by the surname "they" and
(2) because of his gross misconduct at a school religious service (and other events) and the manner in which he conducted his objection to transgenderism.
Be interested to know the details of part (2)...
He certainly likes to grandstand!

So nothing whatsoever to do with his sacking or jailing.

Maybe there is a debate to be had over pronouns at work. But he isn't the man to have it.

Calling someone they if you don't know their gender is correct English usage.

On 2, he got an email asking staff to call a kid he didn't teach they. He hunted down the headmistress and found her at a church service which he disrupted to physically confront her. He was dragged out by other church goers.

When he received an email telling him he was on a disciplinary for the above, he repeated the trick and physically confronted her in a resteraunt, also having to be dragged out by the general public.

While there is little to be said about the American employment system, if it is a condition of your employment you'd soon get used to swallowing the word. Does Enoch have no mouths at home needing fed?

Hypothetically I don't know anyone's gender, that I've just met until they tell me. The 'they' attitude aside...
On the behaviour he used to deal with it, deserves all he gets. Like the rest of his family an old testament attention seeker.

f**k him.

It has no impact on him whatsoever if he has to use good manners at work and address someone by their chosen name or pronoun. He's just a bigoted, deluded fuckwit with a superiority and a persecution complex looking to grandstand.

Stand for election if you want to get support for your cause that badly. Leave the political shit at home when you go to work.

Rawhide

I haven't a problem calling someone by their chosen name, but a pronoun such as 'them' when it is a singular person in front of me, no way.

Why? What difference does it make to you? I don't understand the reason someone would choose pronouns for themselves but who am I to say they shouldn't just because I am content with how I'm addressed? And if using a different word makes life easier for them and makes sh1te all difference to me, why would I choose to not do that?
