Quote from: Aaron Boone on June 02, 2026, 09:39:37 PMRTE Sport had a story on it today. Red v Green is one of the main challenges. Munster GAA will ensure it doesn't happen next year if Cork play Limerick (too late for Sunday).

The notion that it's "too late" for Sunday is ridiculous. If it's an issue next year then it's an issue this year. Surely one of them has a black or white away jersey that can be used?

Cork have a white away kit. Limerick a black one.

Does the referee have a say here?
As long as the ref isnt wearing the same jersey as a goalkeeper!!!!  :)

Quote from: Baile Brigín 2 on June 03, 2026, 11:20:59 AMI know in professional soccer all home and away shirts go into the league and they run the permutations. I have some vague recollection of Drogheda getting told their away kit was too close to their home and they had to redesign.

Yet they have fixtures such as Chelsea v Man city where both decide to wear blue and it isn't an issue - but Liverpool wearing red away to Aston Villa is completely out of the question.

I do like when GAA teams wear away jerseys every so often. The All Ireland final last year and in 2010 between Cork and Down have that bit of novelty about them with both teams changing colours. Armagh have avoided orange against opponents in green the past few years due to the colour blindness issue. Ireland and Wales in rugby both do it now as well when playing one another I believe.

So this is another contrived debate.

Make Cork wear white.

End of.

Westmeath in green and Galway in white?

Just wondering will Meath be wearing Green or White against Derry and will Derry be wearing the more red top or the more white tops?

I'm assuming Meath in their home kits with Derry in their whiter kit would be the best option.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Derry always wore red these recent yrs. Changed Armagh as the clash was obvious previous.

Any news on the colours to be worn for the final? Both teams have a blue/navy change strip. Will there be a toss for home colours in that case?
Some on twitter talking about Mayo playing in white - could they use the keepers jersey as a registered kit?

AustinPowers

If Donegal Kerry  had to change last year, then surely both should change this time.

DaleCooper

Kerry have worn standard home kit in 2004 and 2006 finals.

Mayo wore red away kit only in 2004.

Home in 2006.

Kerry won the toss I believe

The Mayo away is horrendous. You wouldnt want to remember an all iteland win in that get up.  Worst kit ive ever seen a GAA team wear.

Mayo Kitman will have the Green and Red Jerseys ready to swap before lifting Sam

Are they not going to be hard to distinguish from distance on TV?
