Jesus Galway aren't the brightest are they? That's multiple times they've run into a challenge instead of passing the ball first time. How many times do the Limerick men run into a tackle?

imtommygunn

Galway massively disappointing. Big gulf between teams really.

BigGreenField

Galway consistently carrying into heavy traffic and then being out numbered and stripped.

Any one on ones and Limerick foul to ensure no serious danger.

Just like football the need for a team black/yellow card for persistent fouling remains.

Rte commentator seems shocked when fouls are called as only a tap.

Not yet, probably would be had the Galway goalkeeper didn't pull off a few good saves.  Galway sure to have a purple patch at some stage in this final.

As I said. Its over. Double scores now

1-19 to 0-11

Wasn't over then it's over now. Poor viewing for us neutrals watching. I wonder what Galway posters on here make of this Galway display? I think Seafoid had himself convinced before the match that Limerick was past their peak.

The number of flicks and hand passes Galway have played into trouble has been astounding. They are incredibly dangerous to themselves anywhere near the halfway line.

Blowitupref

Gets worse for Galway with them going down to 14 men.  Limerick 1-21 Galway 0-14 after 58 minutes.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

What'd we have in this championship, 1 good game in Limerick V Clare. Poor enough in terms of quality today could maybe put that down to the heat.

Tony Baloney

Poor spectacle. The wait goes on to find out who can stop Limerick.

Blowitupref

Result Limerick 1-29 Galway 1-18.  Poor watch for those myself included that hoped for a tight, tense competitive All-Ireland final.  Poor performance by Galway and in truth Limerick never needed to get out of 2nd gear to win at their ease.

After so many enjoyable and competitive games across the provinces this year, that was all a bit of a nothing burger. Hats off to Limerick for a dominant performance. But I struggle (as I did at times with the dominant Kilkenny team) to take solace in the fact that "we'll never see their likes again", as one sides finals like this don't do much for the neutral or the game's reputation.

Wildweasel74

That Donal Og a total f**king w**ker, long overdue to be put off the Sunday game.

What did Cusack do now?

That was a damp squib of a game.

Anyone else think it's time to do away with speeches? Just lift the trophy and go.

You can't replicate that level of intense tackling that Limerick bring to championship hurling in training so was a very new experience to a lot of the Galway lads and will stand to them in the future.
No sooner did one of the Galway lads break a tackle that another hurl or arm came in from another Limerick lad in hot pursuit to rob the ball of them.

Will any of the Limerick lads hang up the boots?

Cunny Funt

Poor final but credit to Limerick a super team. That was some respect given to Sligo woman Caroline Currid their psychologist in the after match speech, their form dipped when she was away it shows a lot of the game is played in the head.
