If refs remembered the existence of charging in the rule book Shane O'Donnell would end up being dropped he would become so ineffective.

Brian Hayes really is a big, big bastard  ;D .

moonster

Game over now. Cork have advantage now.

moonster

For a top team Limerick never score goals.

gallsman

That was almost very, very Cork-y.

Ref just watched Darragh O'Donovan, while being fouled, elbow a lad in the head and do nothing about it.

JollyGreenGiant

Waterford claw back an 11 point gap to draw with Tipp.

Another class game in the Munster Championship

Deerstalker

Could he costly injuries for Joyce and Downey, didn't look great

Great games today. You would feel Cork have to do it this year or they're going to fall back a bit. They've been second best for so long.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Think Tipp will come into semi under the radar with the talk about Cork and Limerick.

Provocative statement.

Tipp still look way of the pace, will be interesting to see if they can time a run at it or whether last year has caught up with them.

Limerick could and should have taken Cork, but Gillane is a massive loss to them in terms of their set up and match play. Different team without that huge physical presence up front to play off.

Cork were gritty again but still lacking something for me.

I think that draw has fĂșcked up both their chances of getting out of Munster.

Waterford have both Cork and Limerick left to play, and whilst they do seem to perform well against Cork, it's hard to see where they get the 4 points to get them into a potential 3rd spot.

Tipp have Clare and Limerick to finish their campaign, They'll need to get both points v Clare in 3 weeks time and hope that Clare struggle in their games against Limerick (this Sunday) and then Limerick in the last round who may well already be in a Munster final and easing off a bit, but I don't see that being the case.
Tipp will back themselves to win both those as always and will need to use this weeks rest to get some much needed energy into their legs.

For me, it's a Cork, Limerick Munster final with Clare slightly edging Tipp for third.

I do have reservations about the Clare defence though and if they don't sort that out then Tipp will take the 3rd spot.

It's coming to the boil nicely. Before yesterday's round of games, there was a chance that the third placed team could qualify on 2 points, but the Walsh park draw put paid to that. Limerick's latter 2 games are at home to Waterford and Tipp', but they won't want to be relying on both to go through so will go to Ennis looking for some kind of result. Won't be so easy without Lynch and Gillane. Tipp' will be hoping for a Limerick win, as a victory at home to Clare then following may be enough for them. Maybe three points will be sufficient now to progress.

In Leinster, Kilkenny got back on the bike with a big win over a very disappointing Wexford. On current form Dublin look more likely winners in their away match to Wexford, so their home tie with Kilkenny looks to be crunch now. Offaly will probably need goals and plenty of them in Tullamore v Kilkenny, but they're a light team, physically and resource-wise, so it's a very big ask.

Joyce ruptured ACL, obviously out for the year & Downey ankle injury, out to approx 6 weeks.
