Certainly 100 times more likely than it was 2 weeks ago, I'll say it again, 90% of fans would have Keane over EtH in a heartbeat, bar the Ruud factor I think it's a no brainer

Two weeks ago Roy Keane  was 175/1 in odds to become the next Man United manager you can still get those same odds right now.

No slant on SAF but it's absolute madness from the club to do this. Give him a free season ticket invite him to the training ground etc but paying him two million crazy stuff and just another idiotic decision from the top of the club.

No doubt a legend but in the process of fluking 2 did he massively underachieve, was he lacking as a tactician and were there any discernible differences between his domestic dynasty and Liverpools golden era who had much more success on the continent and even Clough's Forest who bagged a pair

It may have been a lot easier to win pre Champions league.
In 99 United jad to get past Barca, Bayern,inter and Juve.
In 08 they should've been 3 up before chelsea equalised.

With Keane and Scholes I think Utd would have beat Bayern well in 99, but a good few passed them by, Ferguson potentially cut his nose off to spite his face more than once in the transfer market, did needlessly losing Ince Hughes Stam and Beckham cost further EC glory?

I still think Spurs would have beat Liverpool that day had they played Moura instead of Kane.

I think Fergie at times lacked tactical nous in Europe but had enough for the english league.

I think Liverpool would have won that final regardless. Best thing Tottenham did was taking Man City out on route to the final.

I doubt Ferguson sides would have reached the latter stages so often in Europe if he lacked tactical nous. He also won a European trophy with with Aberdeen beating Real Madrid the last European final Real Madrid have lost.

United should have  won it in 2004. They had a good goal  ruled out v Porto that would have  put the game to bed.  Then all the big guns were knocked out , it was there for them that year

2004 their post-Schmeichel/pre-Van Der Sar keeper issues cost them too. Never understood how Van Der Sar was left at Fulham for four seasons.

In the 90s, English football was relatively weaker, with Italy still very strong, but the foreign player rules hurt United too.
