Agreed. Derry should be a lot better next year. Very young this season.
Same position as Tyrone then. Who would be favourites for Ulster if those 3 aren't ready to compete yet? I would have backed Donegal
Think Armagh are decent wnough but young. Probably tough to jusge it based on the u17 teams of 3 years ago given how much lads develop physically in those few years.
Judging off this then I'm assuming Kerry would be the favourites this year? Would have thought either Derry, Donegal or Kerry at the start but if Derry and Donegal aren't just there yet that leaves Kerry

Are posts about the minor teams not being potential Ulster Champions (Derry, Tyrone and Donegal) getting mixed up with U20 comments?
Don't believe any of the 3 mentioned would be wrote off at U20 level.

Yeah, this is what has happened. Be happy enough saying Derry u20 are strong. Might not win it but that's sport, they're one of the better teams.
Derry minors not quite as strong this particular year.

Derry and Donegal have named strong sides for this evenings game. Roarty down to start for Donegal, Max Campbell on the bench. Derry unchanged from Fermanagh game which means, no Sargent for Derry.

Armagh pretty decent here, better at 2 pointers than the senior team, albeit with a breeze.
Armagh 1-17 Cavan 0-04 HT

All level at half time Max Campbell started and got a goal in the first minute  Donegal were 5 up at stage but 1-06 each at half time

That a good Armagh team.

Armagh excellent in the first half. I see Tyrone are beating Down well, 3-13 to 0-5. Presume there's a big wind in Dungannon?

Perhaps Donegal learned more from being close to Fermanagh than Derry did from hammering them. One hopes something the same does not occur in relation the performance of Tyrone and Armagh against Cavan.

I think Donegal learned that when they play their best team they're decent enough.

Was a very cagey game with long passages of side to side and nothing happening. Both defenses well on top and both sets of forwards had very few ideas. Easily the worst I've seen Finbarr Roarty play so if Derry meet them again they'd need to watch out for that!!!

I imagine both teams could meet again.

Great Armagh performance in the Athletic Grounds, don't think that result was expected. I said last week after the game in Newry Armagh won without our big guns playing well, they played much better 2nite. Aaron Haughey (taken off last week) was my MOTM, some performance by him, Eoin Duffy excellent again. There wasn't a bad performance on the Armagh side tbf. I thought we played at an intensity Cavan couldn't match.

El Classico next week in the AG should be a clinker.

2 x El Classico games in the AG in the space of 5 days - brilliant.

The best place in Ulster to watch a game, bar none.
