I would have said wing half back yeah he's a good player has had a steady start for his first full season.

He was an attacking midfielder in his minor days so going forward isn't new to him. Judging by the team named we're set up to outrun Meath which I agree with, we dont have the forwards to rely on then to get a mutliple scores each so we'll need to have multiple scorers and having that many runners going at the Meath defence will be hard to defend.

County teams now play a lot of half backs in the half forward line. Look at Armagh.

Forbes did well at fullback, I thought he was too good a footballer for being back there hopefully him and Sargent bring a bit extra up front which we have been missing.

The general consensus as long as I have been following GAA is that Derry would be considered perennial under achievers both in Ulster and nationally. Even in Coleman's time he was one of the first to involve a psychologist to get them to All Ireland glory. Seems to be less of a problem at under age.

In fairness, I wouldn't listen much to what Mulligan has to say re: football. Just there for the 'light entertainment slot' with Devenney at half-time.

In fairness, I wouldn't listen much to what Mulligan has to say re: football. Just there for the 'light entertainment slot' with Devenney at half-time.

3 All Ireland QF's. Westmeath, Cork, Clare. The only games we've won at Croke Park in 33 years. One game for every 11 years. For a 'football' county that is embarrassing. The hurlers have as many wins and get zero credit.

We have no right to win anything. Every bit of success should be celebrated. Meath were in an All Ireland semi-final less than 12 months ago.

The level both codes are playing at is relative here.

Not sure anyone has any right but fact remains we are in alot better place and for a longer period than we ever have been but that final hurdle is eluding us so far.

Forget about promotion again next year, some lads haven't performed in years and are still there on reputation alone, there's clearly young talent there that aren't getting enough chances blood them in the league next year before it's too late and another generation missed out on
