Joe Ward beat! Terrible performance. Looked tired and let his opponent bring him down to his level. Not going well so far for Ireland.

Even blamed the ref. That's not high performance Billy Walsh's loss is been felt massively. All our boxers so far look poorly prepared no wonder some are looking to PEDs.

Another disastrous result for the Irish boxers. That fight was just a mess from start to finish, and it was mostly the Ecuadorians fault. It is inexplicable really, the form of the Irish boxers has been so poor. 3 of the 4 fighters so far being eliminated in the opening fight is not what was expected.

terrible fight. ward allowed himself to be brought down to that level. awkward opponent but at times it resembled a street brawl fs.

Ward has to feel slightly aggrieved though having been deducted 2 points because of the warnings from the Ref and no points deducted from his opponent.  They were both equally as bad.
