Lacey, Neil Gallagher & Frank McGlynn struggling. Last year this would have been more of a problem but the bench has strengthened considerably during the winter. If we get over Down I would be happy enough to have these lads bsck by the QF.
For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world & loses his soul.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves! We wouldn't be appearing unopposed in the Ulster Final!

Apparently Lacey had minor knee surgery on Thursday and is doubtful for this game.

I think it's pretty much confirmed that he will not play.
It's not confirmed but he's a big doubt. Will mean young Declan walsh will get another start in the championship. Declan is a very capable defender and will be able to do the job jim asks of him
Corner forward?

You are thinking on the other walsh in the squad David walsh. The game is now confirmed to be taking place in Cavan on 23rd June

QuoteBSB, You should get the money back on your satnav. Any Downman north of Castlewellan will be going through Armagh,Monaghan, Clones to get to Cavan. Furthest Ulster venue for most of us and it's supposed to be neutral. Great town all the same.

I expect BluestackBoy doesn't get out much.
All of Down is North-East Of Cavan and persons from Inishowen/ N Donegal might well go via Monaghan and Clones.

In fairness Cavan is pretty neutral, it isn't near anywhere!
People from South Down most certainly shouldn't be going through Clones to get to Breffni Park. Dundalk or Crossmaglen, Carrickmacross, Shercock, Cootehill or Bailieborough, and then Cavan should be their route.
"Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride."

Only this last wee while. Lacey wasn't much talked about 3 or 4 years ago when Donegal were at a low ebb.

I don't think Turley is the man to play sweeper, if James deploys one.  Against Derry I thought he got in McArdles way quite a bit, which helped Bradley gain more room.  What's the latest with Aiden Carr?

Yeah, he was only arguably the best man marker around, with two All Stars in 06 and 09, playing in an average team.

You boys are easy sidetracked from talking about the Down defence. I hope the down defence aren't as easy sidetracked.

donegal lad

jim mcguinness more or less confirmed today tat we will be with Lacey and Gallagher for this game. Both are struggling with knee injuries. Strange decision by ulster council to make the game an all ticket affair just giving the county boards and clubs more work when it not necessary as Cavan holds over 30000

ONeill

Can see Donegal having this wrapped up at half time.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.
