All about the pitches, playing in the rain ok, most pitches have been rock hard so it might be ok

The rain was needed,  some would argue the pitches where TOO hard.

Would be keener to bring the games forward a bit as the light won't be as good after 9

No need for games to be starting as late as 8

Wouldnt normally be ladies games on a Wednesday. Senior are Sunday, Monday. Minor and u12 Friday, u16 Tuesday and u14 Thursday. Anything below that is blitz at weekends.

8pm really late for midweek imo but i guess some lads might like it as it gives them more time to get there after work.

BigGreenField

An 8pm throw in allows one pitch clubs to squeeze in a couple of juvenile or other code team training beforehand, much earlier and it's only one pitch use for the night - while lots of clubs have 2 pitches not all do.

Equally, earlier than 8pm for a city team heading to the country means leaving direct from work, not everyone gets to take the car to work etc.

As the resident man running up and down the middle says clubs are free to agree an earlier time if it suits them.

Round or stuffed

Any idea what time the games will be on sunday

Ive hit a nerve MR2 , yes St Galls would see that as a good test to see where they are at. Beat easy going by Galls men at the match

No nerve, I was down the road at Randalstown and never seen the game, just read the report and teams sheets.

So you were not at the game, just info from some Galls lads that were at it?

Haven't seen Creggan this year so not able to assess how they are playing, but going by their results they have not lost a game, so they are doing really well it seems. Galls lying second and happy enough I'd imagine with how the season is going.. I wouldn't as you have put it as failed the first test, they were stuffed by Creggan

Any team going full tilt in June is running the wrong race.

I dont think any of the main contenders are going full pelt! Obviously clubs with larger number of county panellists will have a bit extra up their sleeve.

Good time for managers to develop a full squad. Whoever will lift McNamee will need 22 to 25 quality players, allowing for injuries suspensions etc...

I'm hearin st brides have hot at least 5 outside coaches taking them this year.
Is this right ? Desperation and dollars by sound of it
