What a strange thing to say.

Weirdly specific

quit yo jibbajabba

Gerry Carroll maybe not great but he's the best Nolan can get as anyone decent doesn't go near him.

And for pure aggression I thought he was decent as you just know he wanted to rip wee Jamie's head off. 😆

Shouldn't even be on Nolan - radio or tv.

Huge part of the problem has been Nolan. He just brings division.

Not sure what nationalists get going on a show like that. Only thing I can think of is GC trying to raise his profile for next May's election.

The hate between both sides still strong, that's bred into the next generation and so on..

Fixing Health economy education infrastructure housing employment do not even come close to solving a centuries of struggle.

No doubt Marty will say 'we ain't bitter' lol

The old two sides chestnut again...we see you a chara.

Trying to blame the residents of Garvaghy Road in all of this...hate...and bred into...

The above is basically a party political broadcast for the Alliance Party.

You haven't been on social media much then?

I've come through plenty in life to have my own opinion on things based on my lived experiences.

I'll judge it as I see and hear it. If you ever take the blinkers off you might come across balanced a bit more

But in case you are in any doubt, that march or any other contentious march in other places should never be accepted. Alternative routes should always be given

Dialogue, compromise, partnerships, moving forward, healing, respect, honesty, acceptability.. give me a political party that has that at their core I'll vote for them.

Please point out where I've mentioned specifically the Garvaghy road rubbish bit though

::)  The last twenty pages have been about the Garvaghy Road.

You said if Bryson was from the Falls he'd be at the same craic. I pulled you up on it and asked name an individual from the nationalist side who is at the same carry on as Bryson.

You couldn't name one. Because there is none. So I see through the two sides are as bad as each other narrative.

I'm sure the GR residents will be delighted with your support.

I'll park this with a quote from Colin Harvey.

"Anyone in public life who does not understand what the Garvaghy Road means to every strand of the nationalist/republican community in the North does not deserve to be taken seriously".

As an aside, funny that he doesn't use *checks notes* the term 'northern ireland'.

Are The Wolfe Tones playing on the GR on Saturday night? I saw a poster and was wondering was it a wind up.

And if so, what did the GR residents do to warrant that?  ;D

Haven't heard that, but there is a musical act from Dundalk making an appearance today.

I presume genocide supporter Lockhart and Bryson are trying to stop the  Orangemen agreeing a deal?

Always check the Newsletter daily (important to get their opinion on things regardless of their bias).  Article by Peter Robinson:

https://www.newsletter.co.uk/news/opinion/peter-robinson-respect-for-each-others-cultures-and-traditions-must-be-a-two-way-street-9236567

"Respect for each other's cultures and traditions must be a two-way street" Article title.
"At the beginning of August, I stayed away from the centre of my own city." The very first line.
"Many others from my tradition also gave the city centre a wide berth." next paragraph down.

It was nice him and his chums had the option of staying away from something out of "respect".  I assume they stayed at home put the feet up.

If only we all had the luxury of not having to witness something out of "respect"...

Quote from: Harold Disgracey on September 30, 2026, 11:43:30 PMNolan awful, now I remember why I don't watch or listen to him. Fair play to Dessie Trainor, I thought he acquitted himself well.

Not sure if you agree with me but I thought it was bad taste inviting Dessie onto the show as he's not trained (I wouldn't have thought so) to handle the media and them feckers taking advantage of him on the show. He did do well TBF but he looked vulnerable a bit and them rats facing him would not have been ideal for Dessie.

The one question I was hoping he'd ask them was directly to Buckley and say "are you an Orange man", which he would have ansewered "yes" and then Dessie should have asked him "Can I as a fellow Portadown man join your lodge". knowing too well as a Catholic that he would not have been allowed and then ask him "if your organisation is such a sectarian organisation then why would you want to march through a Nationalist area when there it a clear alternative route available to you to get back to your Hall/Church".

Did he not say not if we were offered a million pounds not if we were offered 20 million not if we were offered a march to Buckingham palace. Or words to that effect. Which is potentially even more weirdly specific

Dessie was only there because his mother was a protestant. Several times Buckley and Bryson referred to the 'mob' on Garvaghy Road while Dessie sat and took it.

What is disappointing is that Nolan never presses the unionists or the OO as to why the march has to go down the Garvaghy Road. Their stock answer is tradition but traditions change.

Unionists also say that they have the backing of the law. The high court stood by the Parades Commission decision, but that decision was made on completely inaccurate advice from the PSNI. That is why the OO will not be rushing to submit another application.

Dessie obviously has no media training so in that respect I thought he did well.

His mother, Dorothy, was murdered by loyalist and is buried at Drumcree. Two of his brothers were also murdered by loyalists and are buried in St John's. I was waiting on Buckley mentioning them and their INLA background to try and point score, thankfully he didn't.
