Is there any chance this goes to court again tomorrow? Assume we're past that point?

I do think one of the things these feckers are doing is trying to discredit the "first minister" and say she is not a first minister for all. They actually think she is in an untenable position which I don't think she is. This after refusing to call her a first minister for all but you can bet today and tomorrow she will be called first minister.

Stormont will hardly last tomorrow.

Quote from: gallsman on September 27, 2026, 03:08:51 PMf**k me, it is incredibly simple.

A5? Because the incompetent DfI fucked up and didn't tick the boxes it needed to.

Drumcree? Because the incompetent PC fucked up and didn't tick all the boxes it needed to.

Judges do not have the discretion to consciously choose to ignore the law because the outcome is a disgrace. Is it that difficult to comprehend?! But sure just you keep ranting and raving. That'll help.

You're wrong on both counts. PC looked at OO application for the match and decided to allow it. There was no element of a missed box being ticked.

Likewise McAllinden denied the A5 by interpreting the climate change act in a manner wholly removed from what was intended. Forcing the dept to prove that the A5 wouldn't increase pollution is impossible. Yet he found a spurious enough excuse to deny the project and lumber the rest of us with the 200 million pound bill.

As I previously said neither decision displayed any common sense.

I'm talking about why the original determination was quashed, which is what has led to all of this in the first place, which is the decision that McAlinden was involved in, which is what we're discussing.

So no, I'm not wrong in the f**king slightest

Yip the rhetoric I have seen repeated is "if they cant allow us a simple march then how could we feel welcome in a UI"

The victimhood politics is fairly galling to listen to.

If we have to put up with anti Catholic organisations walking past our house then we don't want to be in the UK.

We should foster a "British zionism" and get them to make aliyah. Only actual solution is removal.

It should be argued in the courts that the decision was made based on misleading information from PSNI, whether deliberately or seriously miscalculating (it would be very generous to give them benefit of doubt). Or the SOS (already showing himself to be not neutral) could make that decision.

Never mind the few thousand marches that go on...

Irrespective of what the decision was it was done on a Friday for something on a Sunday. Then it was the same day the appeal was turned round. The timings were appalling and really did not help matters.

Mr David Legal man. Question.

If the courts gave the OO x window for their march, and that has passed, are they illegally assembling now?

Hereiam

We all say the PSNI gave false information, but how many of us would not go to work tomorrow and head for Portadown

From Darran Marshall,

The police have just warned the Orange Order that they are breaking the terms of the determination by having more than 35 people at Drumcree.

Look at the Belfast Live photos there. They've breached the rules surely and that should be that!
