Drew Brazil in the sweep :D :D

I got Nigeria and Portugal in College. One lad (who somehow wasn't the organiser) got both Brazil and Spain?

Does anyone remember the footage of the Zaire (I think) defender running up and booting the ball away before Brazil took a free kick in the 78 WC (again I think? I read the other day the Zaire president told them before that game if they lost by more than three goals they would "never see their families again" ! So you can understand the time wasting. Oh, the match finished 3-0 to Brazil.

QuoteAnyone got a good link for watching the matches
Are all games on RTE player?

You can watch the RTE coverage all over Europe !!

www.eurovisionsports.tv/fifaworldcup

Looks like this is OK if you're in Albania but not in the black North!.  RTE has internet rights for the Free State only.  Seems us Brits will have to go with itv.com for the game today??

According to the website , it should work for all EBU members.. I did notice that it didn't specify the uk, but it's worth trying :-))

If you are travelling, holidaying or living in Europe during the World Cup you can access all of RTÉ's World Cup coverage through the Eurovisionsports.tv 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Portal at www.eurovisionsports.tv/fifaworldcup.

The portal will show simulcast coverage from a wide range of EBU Members and FIFA HB feeds. In addition a HD Channel will show a selection of matches at higher definition and bandwidth for an enhanced viewing experience online.

Access to the platform is free for users.

RTÉ has the rights to stream its World Cup coverage within the Republic of Ireland only.

Users of the Eurovision portal will not be able to access the TV coverage of the host broadcaster of the country in which they are located.

For example, if you are in the Republic of Ireland, you will only be able to access RTÉ's World Cup coverage via the RTÉ website. But you can access the coverage of all other EBU members via the Eurovision portal.

Similarly, if you are in Austria, you will not be able to access Austrian coverage of the World Cup, but you can access RTÉ's coverage via the Eurovision portal.

Spain to win and Torres top scorer is 25-1. Has to be a good bet IF he can stay fit.

Not so much. Good article on the BBC site about how Torres is as much a worker for Spain as a goalscorer. Villa is definitely their top scorer.

Did anyone watch the opening ceremony? Wasit any good?

Anyone know how to watch or listen live on iPhone?

Hoof Hearted

there has to be some horns lodged in peoples holes before the world cup is over. That is ridiculous, how can you sit beside some hoor and him blowing that for 90 minutes !!

tyroneboi

Them horns are absolutely ridiculous. Hopefully the novelty will wear off after the first few games.
