2 players signed and the league starts on Monday. Engels and Johnston likely to leave in this window. The two forwards signed look the part but it's still not enough. Two injuries away from Doohan and Montgomery starting. It's disgraceful but Desmond will be delighted with the result at Tannadice tonight and sadly so will most of the support.

Bernardo - been sent out on loan
Hatate - not featuring and has asked to leave, will get his move soon.
Ox - doesn't come on against Dundee, where is he in the pecking order
McCowan - sub role which is prob fine for Scotland but please nooooo for Europe if we qualify
McGregor - still decent but getting older, how much longer can he go on for 33 or 34 I think
Engels - will be sold soon, get £20m-£25m take it and spend it on other players
Nygren - Doesn't do much in a game but pops up with crucial goals

That we need some decent midfielders, one who can tackle, one who can pass the ball forward and a third one who can run around a lot looking busy. The players listed didn't set the world alight last year but losing them with nothing coming in is concerning.
OX and McCowan are decent cover for domestic matches, but they need to have starters in front of them if the squad is going to be in any sort of shape.
First game of the season was a struggle with no obvious improvement although clean sheet was welcome.

Of the trio, Ox was my last choice on offering a contract to, about a country mile behind Kelechi and Saracchi.

On Nygren, you need to watch the game a bit more closely, he is active in the game, helping out in midfield and defense, he gets around the pitch, closing in on space. And that albeit he is not a midfielder, he's a nr 10. In the current team Nygren is essential.

In his defence he played well enough against Dundee and hae has to start games for Celtic purely for his goals alone, I do agree with you he prob is a 10 but we're all over the place regarding formations and players played out of position atm

That looks a good 11/8 unfortunately I reckon. The drive McInnes is going to have after last year could take them a long way, Celtic are sleepwalking as per and you can't get a miracle every year. This summer was the time to properly readdress things and unsurpisingly that hasn't happened. If Rangers can't win it now they may forget about it

Embarrassing myself by forgetting how bad the Rangers are - aw well good to see it. Some comedy show the last few years, I'll struggle to feel sorry for McInnes
