Great day for Newcastle fair play to them, hopefully someone different wins the FA Cup also, that's what these competitions are all about.

Liverpool look out on their feet, could be an interesting last few games in the Premier League for them, if they do land the biggest trophy of them all they won't be bothered about today though I'd say.
SHOCKING REVELATIONS!!!

No complaints about that game. Newcastle played Liverpool off the park. Nice to see them finally win a trophy, although Joelinton was acting the p***k at the end there.

Liverpool look done out. No energy whatsoever. Slot needs to give some of them starters a break. They only need, at most, five wins and a draw from nine. Time to start seriously rotating.

100% and who could begrudge them.
70 years is a long time.
A shame it had to happen against Liverpool but them the breaks.
Hate losing finals but if we would have won it would have been just the Carabao Cup for Liverpool, for Newcastle it's the stuff of dreams.

Quote from: Tony Baloney on March 16, 2025, 05:45:45 PMThis run of form not ideal coming up to the league run-in.
That's the worry now. At least there is a good break until the next game.

Quote from: LarryStiles on March 16, 2025, 06:24:57 PMNewcastle sitting the bed. Too many English lads on the team.

Will you ever go and f**k off.

Triggered 😃😃  Congratulations to Newcastle United

Still some tough games there.
You'd hope they will have enough to get through but I'm not taking anything for granted.

You'd hope he'd start to give Chiesa a run. He can't be any worse than a Salah who clearly needs a break, an out of form Jota or a half-fit Gakpo. And if he could show a bit of form, that's a squad position sorted for cheap going forward.

Endo too. Gravenberch needs a rest for a few games. At least there'd be a bit of bite in the middle of the park.

You'd expect Slot to be denying some international teams access to his players not fully fit or carrying knocks, but some are out on their feet with not a kick in them.
McAllister being a prime example. The last thing that lad needs is to fly half way round the world for more games.

Nunez, could do with the gametime or something.

It's becoming an annual event that Liverpool's thin squad gets overstretched. Instead of their foolish fans celebrating their low net spend, they should be demanding their owners sign some decent back ups.

lol where have you been? Fans crying out every January for reinforcements as we are usually round the top of the table. Then Afcon happens and fixture congestion and one or two defensive injuries and we fall away.

Kvaratskhelia was available in January for £70m - all the top 6 or 7 teams in blighty should have been mad after him, but apparently there's no value or good players available in January

Manys a player blew that myth out of the water over the years but still gets trotted out

Arousal was Liverpools issue, there's only so long a run can be sustained, they just gassed out and hungrier more dynamic teams outran them

Those issues aside they'll still win the premiership.
