They are not going to get everything their way anymore. Surely they can see that. Long term this might cause even more heat on them and actually result in some more parades being rejected.
If this is the plan then SF need to start taking action. The PC has shown itself as being not fit for purpose.

I think this is the ABOD crew, don't know if they're one and the same as the OO, but the start location is Ballynafeigh Orange hall.

This is a concerted effort to open old wounds.

They applied to parade last year as well. I think they all apply to parade even though everyone knows the outcome. Do they not march through the Holylands instead?

There was an un-notified parade on the Shankill yesterday

The problem is that with the Drumcree decision and the refusal of the court to overturn it means that a different interpretation of the rules might now be in place.

Quote from: johnnycool on October 13, 2026, 10:50:11 AMI was weary of how the PSNI would approach this the last few weeks and as much as it's still 70% protestant they don't have the wherewithal to beat the Nationalist counter demonstration off the streets even if they wanted to.

That should play on the OO thinking when they do want to parade in Nationalist areas like Bellaghy, Ballycastle, Newry etc, let alone Derry City, Ormeau Road, Ardoyne.

But they never learn or chose not to as they still seek their triumphalism fix and engage in these culture wars.

IMO the Belfast Fleadh was a major awakening to a lot of people that Irish culture is here, it's strong and getting stronger.
This was the first real manifestation of that right in the PUL faces and they're struggling to counteract it or respond to it in kind, and marching is all they have to offer.

and so it begins, there's a request from "Belfast Walkers Club" to parade from Ballynafeigh Orange hall, via the lower Ormeau Road to the Donegal Pass on the 7th of November.

Never not at it.

The template has been set. If they think they'll get down lower Ormeau without residents taking action, the Orange Order is even thicker than we thought. No way will they ever again wave five fingers in the air while passing Sean Graham's,the sc**bag bastards.

See this is what needs a full review.

How much this is costing worth knowing. Its similar to vexacious litigation.

"Nationalists" give far too much leeway on this crap

Pretty sure that not only do they apply for it every year but that they still symbolically form up to march to the police line to register their intent to walk the highway blah blah blah

Sounds like an unauthorised gathering to me tbh

What I mean is serial applications being declined need moved onto a "red list" to refuse all future applications.

This and the bonfire BS have not been addressed and wouldnt be put up anywhere else in UK or Ireland

Does anyone have  a list  of the current banned/restricted marches?

for November?

No, this is essentially them trying to pull same stroke as Drumcree, as if it's now open season.

There is surely no way, under the previously existing and current circumstances, that the PC can give this the go ahead.

you would certainly like to think so

The issue, for me, is that there's far more sectarian parades now than there was 20 years ago. Far far more.

So this craic about eroding 'our culture' is a load of waffle.

Nationalists have been far too accomodating in this regard since the GFA.

What's the end game here for the OO because it's not going to be a march down Garvaghy road. They can nit pick legal rulings all they want but a march will not be happening. It's been established that the police are not going to evict a single protestor from that road.  Surely they can't be that thick at this point to not know that.  So this is about them making a point, creating disturbance, creating ill feeling and rancour.  They're happy to wreck any relations there were in the Portadown area, and by the sounds of it in other areas where they think they should get to march where they want unrestricted.
That's just, like your opinion man.
