Crazy really. He and I played together 2004/05 in his debut season and my last season playing seniors. I know he was away from senior football for a good few years but it shows what can happen when you look after yourself.

Rossfan

This should be renamed "Armagh Club Championship"

Breheny on Shannonside radio this morning bemoaning the split season and "no games in August and September".
He hopes that "common sense will prevail" and we'll go back to August and September County games.

I'd estimate there must have been at least 3,000 adult club championship games in August.

Well the game in question was on tv, on saying that, the game after in the Dublin championship was particular high level. Top 5/6 teams in Dublin are very strong.

Feel free to talk about the Roscommon one...

Breheny some bollix, it would suit him better to go watch and report on a few club games.

Rossfan

Won't bother ye with Inter/Junior so Ros SFC -

Quarter-final draw.

Oran V Boyle
Strokestown V Castlerea
Padraig Pearses V Michael Glaveys
St Brigids V Roscommon Gaels

Semi-finals

Oran or Boyle v Padraig Pearses or Michael Glaveys

Strokestown or Castlerea v St Brigids or Roscommon Gaels.

Should be  Pearses/Brigids Final on all known form to date.
Ros Gaels and Boyle hopefully disprove that.

Relegation Final Fáithleachs v Clann na nGael. Both of those reached the Semis last year so its a tough oul station!

Not many Rossies here!

Any danger Brigids make a dent in the AI this year again?

Rossfan

30 other Counties gone silent 😄
Brigids have to win 3 games to get into the Provincials.
No guarantee they will.

Also Senan Kilbride still getting game time suggests forwards issues.

TG4 do love their weekly live games to be massacres.

Fossa up to senior after winning the intermediate at the 4th attempt. David Clifford scored 15.

Just watched his 0-15. (Irish examiner? Seems to do a reel of his scores on Facebook.) what an operator. The one where he was inside the arc, gets fouled with advantage and then he manoeuvres himself to outside the arc and hits a two pointer with his right is phenomenal.

see that one, unreal point, but the thinking to go bck outside when under serious pressure. Most them scores sbody breathing down his neck. I see Paudie Clifford say he actually played in Division 5 when younger.

Great point. He wasn't under much pressure but to just think of that in a millisecond, then do it. Some operator.

I don't think you can teach that football intelligence.

imtommygunn

Exactly. It's having the wherewithal to do that in a split second. You can't teach that.

Captain Obvious

East Kerry will be lot weaker in 2027 without the services of the Fossa lads and it's hard to see who will be capable of stopping them from winning the Intermediate All Ireland now.

On another note some commentators needs to settle themselves whenever two pointers are scored. Many are kicked with the shooter given loads of time and room to score.
