Here's a question. Why do SFC and SHC have neutral venues when it comes to knockout fixures but the county are happy to let the lower levels play semi finals at one of the clubs home venues

Because they don't really care about the lower leagues, isn't it obvious?

The county must have taken the hump with PG1,Ahoghill and ourselves,we could've done PG1 and Rossa at 1-15 with our game v Ahoghill not to later in the day,PG1 and Ahoghill would probably be favoured by cargin or creggan,more so PG1,Ballymena a death trap when having to cross over,albeit good lights and pitch

hearing that pg1 were not paid the agreed fee for the use of their facilities by the county and have withdrawn their facilities from county team and club championship use by the county, any truth Bannside ?

Why would Cargin and the noisy neighbours not be played in Portgleone? Ballymena is a terrible venue for a night game.

Did the pitches not get fried over the summer? I can understand why they'd want to stay off.

Of St Pauls, Moneyglass and Sarsfields it was only St Pauls who showed anything at all in the group games. But in all honesty the 3 of them should be relegated along with Tir Na Nog (who are down already) to try and improve the standard a bit.

Let's be honest and add glenravel  to the list, Dunloy done them a massive turn on Saturday  which nobody seems to be questioning.

Even a glenravel defeat was still putting Tir Na Nog in 4th spot.
Unless it was a tanking.

That's not in dispute, but a gimme win from Dunloy  shouldn't remove glenravel from any potential conversation about getting chopped down to intermediate. They finished below St Paul's in the league and just above us, so they aren't exactly  flying high and Dunloy throwing a match doesn't change that

League and championship 2 different animals, as EVERYONE on here agrees(for a change)
So Glenravel struggled in the league, that's fair enough
They upped it for the championship and got 3 points so they stay up on merit.

By 'upping it for championship' you mean drawing at home to already relegated TNN and scraping past Dunloy reserves? Let's add some context to the 3 points Glenravel are no better than the 4 other teams we have labelled as 'not good enough to compete'.

If you are judging where teams are at you are looking at championship. League is a lot of fluff.

If we really want to rank we are better taking performance over the last 2 years in groups and producing a league table.

Bit like champions league format these days where don't necessarily have to have played everyone but 6 games is a solid sample.

Might need to weight some teams points based on number of games played.

That's your best measure if anyone could be arsed digging out results.

Simpler way would be this years quarter finalists Div 1 A and Senior next year and go from there.  In my view only team maybe hard done by with that approach might be St Galls.

The rest would make a decent Intermediate championship. Current Intermediate teams become Junior and introduce a Junior B.

I agree. There is a need for a Junior B. It's worked on the hurling side of things.
