It's not the grass roots though. It's the Armagh18 roots. It's a very vocal 5% on twitter yelling outrage each other all the live long day. The vast majority of people do not care. Most probably have no idea of the nuances of how Allianz is structured or what the issue even is. Otherwise you would be hearing about it alot more.

A recent example of the demonstration before the 1st All Ireland Semi final. There were only a handful of protesters. As ive said before, you could find something on every large company whether its right or wrong to take sponsorship from them.

So the argument from the likes of Snoopdog and Norm is that we shouldn't protest against any company complicit in Israeli war crimes because other companies are complicit too? Hmmmm.

Well. If that's the way the world should work, then so be it. I was going to donate some money to Trócaire to help the starving of Ethiopia, but now I wont because you lads have just made me realise that unless I can give some money to every country dealing with starvation, then I'd be better off refusing to help any of them.

Given the energy shortage, combined with the out of control debt, corporations like Allianz may not be with us much longer.  Certainly Israel's days are numbered.  The problem will solve itself in the end.

Until then, I commend anyone boycotting anything to do with the Jewish squatters in Palestine.  For those who don't, such is your choice and I won't judge you on it.

Regarding the GAA, all we can do is point out the bad association and encourage it to seek better partnerships(if it's possible in the 21st century western economy to find any good options).

Allianz is a German company and the Germans owe a moral debt to the Jewish people. The past isn't over. It isn't even past.

Axa wouldn't be like this. Neither woukd Aviva. The GAA argument that the insurance is too complicated is bollocks.

The GAA should get another insurer that isn't historically compromised with human rights abuses and buying bonds of fascists
