Magherafelt got one 2 pointer immediately after their goal, don't think it was signalled when it went over. Other than that, it was frees from outside the arc most of which fell short and a couple of wild ones. Both teams seemed to concentrate on getting it inside and in Dungiven's case hitting quickly on the break to the isolated full forward. I was surprised Rossa didn't keep someone back to try and cut out that option though the full back did as good a job as you could expect when one on one.

Only 2 games from the full weekend being streamed. I take it this is due to them beong scared of poor attendances?

Any idea which games?

Got second half of Lavey Bellaghy another great game some great two pointers from both teams. Knew he was good but log on to see Oisin Mulholland scored 1-20 for Lavey

1-20 out of 3-23 is unbelievable kicking! Few 2 pointers in that?

Sounds like its set up for a big final!

Was he on the Derry minor team last year?

Goes by Bobby I think so yous can keep an eye for again. Played with 6 on his back but he definitely wasn't a defensive chb lol

marty34

If he's shooting that sort of total, you'd think he should have been starting for the Derry minors. That's some scoring, regardless of standard and level.

If that's the case, why play all the games at owenbeg? I thought one of the big drivers there was broadcast facilities etc. If that's not a factor, it would be nice to spread a few games around the county like in the old days - might help with attendances too.

Agreed but heard on Derry Gaels clubs were asked if they wanted to host the Slaughtneil Banagher game last weekend and all turned it down, so it ended up in Celtic Park. No doubt first 2 rounds should be around the clubs

Steelstown V Swatragh - Steelstown by 4
Faughanvale V Lavey - Lavey by 8
Newbridge V Kilrea Newbridge by 9
Glenullin V Loup - Loup by 3
Dungiven V Bellaghy - Dungiven by 2

It almost looks like the draw was seeded with only one top 8 and one bottom 8 match based on the final league positions could mean a slow start.

I see in the 8 people who have picked their winners, none have went for Bellaghy to beat Dungiven.

Would this not be a 50/50 game ?

Lavey V F'vale. Lavey by 8

Senior Championship games could be more spread out. Few celtic park, few Glen, maybe Lavey or Slaughtneil.

GTP

Dungiven, Steelstown, Magherafelt and Loup are slight favorites with Paddy Power but tight odds making them close to 50/50.
Could be we all dislike Bellaghy?
As far as I remember I chose Dungiven as they seemed more consistent in the league.  But plenty could change come championship.
