Back to cheering on an ENGLISH club next month
Well in fairness the same could be said for the majority of people on this Board

His point is probably something along the lines of pointing out that one of the board's most childishly enthusiastic "supporters" of an English soccer team, also childishly and vociferously hates the English national team. Which is a but of a juxtaposition for some of us.

Quote from: ClubScene13 on July 01, 2026, 07:07:30 PMThat's an England team in particular that have pr*cks everywhere you turn. That's not a new phenomenon but this is a thoroughly unlikeable group, worse than normal

Don't think that's true at all.

The longer these bastards  are still involved, the more jammy them become. Look at the last  Euros
And you'll be back supporting an English club next month 🙄
Morto for you...

Nordie Tayto is shite

Agreed. The era with Ashley Cole, Terry, Lampard, Beckham, Gerrard, Rooney was by far the worst. Arrogant, egotistical, self centred, and not nearly as good as they considered themselves to be. I honestly think that that entire era influenced England for the better when it came to team spirit and character, especially when the last of them were flushed before the 2018 World Cup.

That would be the same for nearly all of us?
No way I wanted England to win, did you?

A shame that Wissa chance hit the post, hopefully the Mexicans with the home support will do the job, they have been impressive so far.

"Supporting" would be  going a bit far.

So, you wanted England to win then , did you?

I disagree with this. England have played three teams on the bounce that played haramball. He will get more space against the more attacking teams in the tournament as England have always looked better as a counter attacking team

Yep. Mexico will not bring football terrorism the way Ghana, Panama and DR Congo did. Especially at home.

Think the altitude will do them more than the opposition.

Yeah,  pitch is 150 miles in the air so air very thin...

Senegal looking strong. Looking like they've too much for Belgium. Early days though.

Capt Pat

Senegal 2 up. Great control from Sarr on the chest and an easy finish.
