There is huge merit though in asking questions and quieting down tensions..

The questions would need to be basic as we are dealing with numpties

What is the process in dealing with immigrants/illegals/asylum seekers

Timeframes for processing people through the system

Monies given, and that also needs to be warts and all full disclosure

Numbers currently here and what is the capacity available to look after that infrastructure wise

And ultimately the plans going forward..

Answer those questions and it will at the very least stop some of the lies being spread

Why are people shocked?

The politicians are admitting all & sundry, without any papers, so they simply cannot know their country of origin, proper age, criminal background or mental health status.

Anyone who chooses to arrive without any paperwork shouldn't be let in, full stop.

However, judging by the news recently, there are immigrants running around, free as a bird, with paranoid schizophrenia - the Colocane case in Nottingham is absolutely horrendous.

That such people are roaming the streets, with knives, is unacceptable, as government is simply failing in its prime duty,to keep its citizens safe.

The other issue is that, going on the constant court cases that are being reported, far too high a proportion of the current immigrant population appear to be rapists & sexual deviants, who seem to think that local women are fair game.

Until government get to grips with unfettered immigration & then attempts to sift out these types, then we are in for a rough ride on the streets.

The British government hasn't a clue where most of the failed asylum seekers are living, which is absolutely pathetic. If they keep going like this, then they are handing the next election to Reform.

Of course people are shocked these things generally don't happen here.

It's horrible and hopefully the perpetrator gets the justice he deserves and the victim can make a recovery.

The far right wasted no time jumping on this incident though a list of 20 odd flashpoints sent around before 9am this morning... it's almost as if this "protest" has been pre drafted and pre planned for the first immigrant violence incident that comes along this summer!!!

They'll wreck the place tonight and still pretend to be the good guys looking out for our children!!

There was one about a dozen years ago in an estate in south belfast. I don't think it was particularly widely reported on. I think the guy may have died but it was attempted beheading which I don't think succeeded.
