Their best chance would be moving PJ along and getting McGuinness in.

I'm not a Jimmy fan at all, but I've had 5 years or so now of wondering why Galway always seem overtrained and undercoached.

100% legitimate Q and Mcguinness just a dickhead.

Same $hit after ulster final last year where of course he didn't see anything

Speaking of dickheads...
5times a dickhead

Is that another one of Lionel Richie's?

Only dickhead was how he reacted to the reporter.

How'd he react?

He was perfectly civil to the GAA+ reporter in the interview I saw. Admitted the red card had a huge impact on the game and that there was no way of telling how it would have went otherwise. O'Connor said he saw nothing either.

He questioned that the reporter had a motive. He simply brought up ger brennan and mcguinness had a hissy fit.

Exactly how I saw it too - seen the incident during half time and I said straight away that's a ban for what he's done there.

Crying that a reporter is trying to get him banned, was a fair enough question from Tommy

Kildare competitive but Galway has the wind that Colm Cooper thinks is a 8 point wind. Half time Galway 2-8 Kildare 0-12
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Quote from: weareros on May 23, 2026, 07:16:18 PMDeserved win for Cork. Meath never looked like they were playing with an extra man even when new rules amplify the advantage. Great game overall.
[/quote Some difference between how Donegal and Meath used the extra man. Very harsh red. Meath to lose that game from 8 up at half time and extra man last 20 mins will need some serious soul searching. After a fantastic year last year and promotion to division 1 their championship hasn't got up and running at all.

"5.17 To strike or to attempt to strike an opponent with arm, elbow, hand or knee with minimal force."

You'll be expecting a suspension for David Clifford then?

Wildweasel74

Never seen as many players lying down these days playing trying to kill time, get men booked/send off. Watching to much soccer. Makes me wonder how they get on against the old Meath team of the late '80s with their extreme physicality!

I'm no fan of Jimmy's in fact I kind of despise him but he's dead right to call out Tommy Rooney on his bullshit there. Rooney's trying to drum up a bit of a headline for himself by making a statement and disguising it as a question. Fairly low and scummy thing to do. Would he say the same to a player after a match if he got the chance? "Michael, pat fox got a 8 week ban earlier in the season for chinning a lad, are you worried you'll get the same ban after boxing Ryan McHugh?"

A still pic? After all these years, surely not. That's a red card

Of course it was, Jimmy was shitting it as he knew he was in the wrong. Don't see too many hard / awkward questions asked these days, fair play to Tommy.

screenexile

He's not asking that out of nowhere... he should have said Jim the CCCC don't take much notice of journalists questions but the TV pictures show plenty of what happened so what's your take on it!

tyrone08

Jesus mcguinness came across as a childish prat when asked a simple question by Tommy.

Trying to spin it that tommy is looking him banned rather than taking responsibility for his own actions of storming the pitch and shoving opposition players instead of trying to calm it down.
