The Germans got wind of Tyrone's outreach programme in Doire, sterling work

If anyone saw Fodens cameo against Bournemouth Tuesday might would reason enough not to bring him.  Palmer has been awful this season, Gibbs White would be the most unlucky of the three to miss out as he has been excellent.

Wharton is another player that would have taken.

Surprised that Maguire has went so publicly about his omission from squad would have thought he was more professional than that.

See his ma isn't amused!

Ethan Tremblay

Given his age, this would have been his last tournament, he can afford to burn bridges and vent.  His form has improved for sure, but he must have some ego on him to assume he would be going.  He's good but clearly not that good.

Fair play to Tuchel for picking players on form, as opposed reputation, a gutsy call to leave these players out.
I tend to think of myself as a one man wolfpack...

imtommygunn

he has shown before he's an eejit. Just another footballer who is an eejit that's all.

Can't say I blame Maguire, realistically his last chance to play at a world cup and he was always good for England even when he was shite at United. Solid and a brilliant option as Wobbler says to either defend a 1 nil lead or as a target man if you're chasing a goal.

When talking form...

Don't forget Ivan Toney. How can he picked on form?

Rashford is a squad player at Barca.

Djed Spence can't get into the worst Spurs team in 50 years.

It's got eff all to do with form it seems.

I for some reason get the impression that the only ego he's willing to pursue is Bellingham.

Which can't end well for England.

Yep he's reducing the risk of tail wagging the dog bs by eliminating a few with the potential to go postal, Bellingham and Rashford the standout unicorns among some very solid pros, I expect they either fall in line or warm the bench. Rashford in particular has the ability to blow very hot in turn creating proper space for Kane Saka and MF entering the final third, a calculated gamble from Tuchel

You couldn't have Bellingham Trent Maguire Rashford and Palmer on the same tour

Clive Woodward picked Mike Catt over Austin Healey for a reason, Tuchel is there to win not f**k about

Where's this about Maguire coming from? Would have struck me as a proper professional, he turned his career around big time at United when most wanted him gone and would be the sort of boy who'd be happy enough with a bench role.

The others all seem like twats to me in fairness.

There's never been any reports of Palmer/Trent/Maguire being bad eggs. And if they were the English media would soon tell everyone about it.

England have a good first 11 and maybe one or two after that. I still think they have a decent chance but that defence when you see it written down on paper could be their undoing. O'Reilly for all his qualities isn't a full back by trade and a full back under Pep is very different to a full back in any other system.

Was there not something about Maguire being up to no good in Greece?

Battered a few boyos, some cops too, because someone tried to grab his sister

Aggravated assault and then tried to bribe the cops to let him go lol! Too many times heading the ball will do that!
