Don't forget Ivan Toney. How can he picked on form?

Rashford is a squad player at Barca.

Djed Spence can't get into the worst Spurs team in 50 years.

It's got eff all to do with form it seems.

I for some reason get the impression that the only ego he's willing to pursue is Bellingham.

Which can't end well for England.

Toney has scored 32 in 32
Playing in the equivalent of the Leinster Senior League. And he only moved there because he was told he was dead to England.

I can see the arguments for and against Maguire, Palmer and Foden. But Toney is a f**king mental call.

It's still form. People on here were questioning his form. He scored a goal a game (regardless of the league) that's good form

Can't believe ones arguing for Welbeck who is 35 and last played for England 8yrs ago.

All about opinion I suppose

Our mate ewan mackenna makes a good point saying they should be allowed to take 40 that way it would stop the endless debate 🤓

Quote from: tyroneStatto on May 22, 2026, 02:52:23 PMwhen you look back at world cups in the past filled with different superstars and personalities and you look at the different squads named so far for this one it's actually quite depressing.

In fairness there's still Messi Ronaldo Neymar Modric and Mbappe though I know past their best and definitely a swansong for four of them.

Just hoping for a few good games once the bloated early stages are over

I'm just  hoping England go  out early . After that, I couldn't give a shite .

There'll always be decent games, and always be shite games. At  least if those backstards go home early, you can enjoy it, shite  games or not

I don't mind them getting to the latter stages but yes as long as they don't win. I think we're safe enough. They're a qf or sf team in my book

Gives us something to talk about. Look at the debate about the squad sure 😆

Henderson is 35 and is picked ahead of Wharton. Welbeck had a great season.

The Henderson selection is crazy. It's years since he was any good at club level.

Ah but you want him around the place for card tricks and quizzes in the evening.

Henderson is a  strange one. 35 years old, centre midfield, playing in  that heat.

Reminds me of Walcott in 2006. Never played in the PL, and  included but never seen action even in the  dead rubber match.

I tend to think  Sven included Walcott as a 'f**k you' to the men  in the suits, as he was  leaving anyway.

Maybe Henderson is  Tuchel's  'f**k you'.  I believe his contract is only up   to the end of the tournament.

My guess is Henderson is there for his leadership in and around the squad. Doubt he will get much playing time and he won't be crying to the media if he doesn't.

tiempo

Henderson is the only current active Eng player to captain a PL and CL winning side, he's there in a player coach mentoring capacity, kinda obvious, might get a couple of token minutes in the group

Such a waste of  a place then. You might as well bring Rio  Ferdinand. He captained  the same. He could  go around saying everything is wicked, and calling  everyone bro, and  show  the England players  how to dance on  the sand

Henderson will get a few 10/15mins to help close out games the way milner used to for Liverpool

Walcott for me was an Owen type pick. Young speedster just on the scene. Element of surprise. Didn't work out.

Now tell me more about these f**k you picks I could do with a laugh 😄

Except Sven  didn't play  Walcott. Not  even in the dead rubber.  Not even for a  minute.

Owen at least had a very good season over him by the  1998 tournament.  But the Walcott inclusion was  really bizarre.
