Quote from: tiempo on May 08, 2026, 03:35:43 PMI don't disagree, they had an almighty run, they don't accept anything less but what goes up must come down, they do need someone to drive a reset, they had a manager with a 70% win rate and binned him off, they're between 2 stools, rising again or suffering an with mediocrity, would prefer the latter, need brought down a peg or 10
The Alonso firing looks more and more bizarre, he was fired for 'falling out' with Vini Jr. Now they are bringing someone in explicitly to fall out with them.

They are a mad auld club really.

Quote from: rodney trotter on May 07, 2026, 10:47:08 PMThere seems to be lots of tension at Real Madrid. Rudiger losing the plot on the training ground, and then today Valderde was knocked out by Tchouaméni.

Rudiger is a header
Currently 2 down to Barca.
SHOCKING REVELATIONS!!!

Finished 2-0. That wins the league for Barca on the day their manager, Hansi Flick's, father passed away. RIP

Decent free kick from Rashford that. I doubt they will keep him. Id take him back to Villa no problem, but for him it looks like being in the likes of Spain, Germany or Italy would be much better in terms of press scrutiny.

It's the wages thats the problem, Barca won't want to pay him 300k plus a week.

Not out of their range though. Lewondowski is on north of €400k per week, so if they wanted to it could be made work.

Is Rashford the kind of fella to pull a Bogarde or would he take a pay cut to play and live in Catalonia?

I think there is a deal to be made here

SaffronSports

If he was to stay in Barcelona he would definitely need a pay cut. In terms of minutes played this season, Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres and Fermin Lopez have all played more minutes than him this season. Raphinha been injured but probably ahead of him too so if he's that far down the pecking order you can't be paying him that money.

Will the World Cup become the same?

QuoteFans will need a subscription to watch the finals of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League after TNT Sports decided against making them free-to-air. It will be the first time since the Champions League was launched in 1992 that supporters have had to pay to watch it

A good Tielemans goal gives Villa the lead.  2-0 another fine strike right before half time, Buendia.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Prince William fairly has Villa purring this year.

Imagine his dad showing that type of emotion? He has his late Mom's personality.

Villa 3-0 winners and a first trophy won since the league cup in 1996

I dunno, I cant buy into these trophies.  The old UEFA Cup n even cup winners cup were much more prestigious
