Quote from: imtommygunn on April 22, 2026, 07:15:54 PMWhy were there no manager interviews post game on sunday? Then you had the likes of Canavan, no reflection on him, talking about Mark McHugh said but you couldn't hear what he had said? I didn't think there were any?

Mark McHugh interview was with off the ball and gave a reference to the Sunday game poll having Meath to win Leinster.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Three games tonight.

There are moments where the coverage is just a bit lopsided due to the way fixtures are arranged in a fairly condensed season. No real need to spread games over a Saturday and Sunday when all could be covered on one day.

The editing for the Saturday night show was very poor at least for the Monaghan Derry game. Considering the game it was in real time the editing of the highlights was slapstick,  nether was there a scoreboard or clock on the screen removing one major element which contributes to drama for the viewer. Not even the Messiah (try as he did) in the punditry could save the presentation as a whole from ignominy.

Why don't they get a bunch of media/sport enthusiastic secondary school students together  to edit the highlight show?

Agree, they could have the clock and the totals on the screen. I usually just watch the clips on You Tube and dont bother with the generally sh*ite analysis. Lee Keegan seems to be preoccupied with finishing sentences for others or making sure he gets the last word.
On a positive, I found both Enda Mcginley and Ciaran Whealan excellent in their analysis yesterday, made a number of excellent points.

Have they not always just had "1st" and "2nd" in highlights packages instead of the clock?

Yeah, I didn't know what  was going on. I avoided the result  until the highlights show.  I didn't know what the score was , or how long was left.

Even when McCarron scored  the sideline , I didn't know if Monaghan  needed a goal  or 2 pointer to draw  .

Very poor from RTE.

McGinley, Whelan along with Fitzmaurice and Canavan best pundits.

Cavanagh, Flynn, Dolan and Gooch worse pundits.

Does the highlights shows from a Saturday or Sunday night disappear off RTE Player after a couple of days?

Or maybe a Northern / Southern thing where I would need a VPN to say I'm from the South?

Only back from Spain there I wouldn't mind getting a look at this weekend's past two shows if I could find them

I'm not 100% sure this is correct but I think this is to do with gaa plus. You can access both shows on their app,and not always on the rte player.

I understand they now do, as the match highlights are on GAAGo or whatever it's now called
