That's the crazy thing about VAR! No consistency
It's not about inconsistency, it's about not deciding to award a penalty for a blatant handball. Whether that's consistent or inconsistent is besides the point.

If a Brentford defender had done what Heaven had I wouldn't have been looking for a penalty, not even close to one. He's trying to head the ball and his arm was in the same position from when the cross came in trying to use his body to stop Thiago.

Another bang average performance, apart from opening 10 minutes. Casemiro had a very poor first half, no idea how he got man of the match; It was either Mainoo or the keeper who's been a revelation since he joined.

Tactics were bizare, front 3 were pressing whilst nobody else was in the first half which caused us so many problems. When you've Casemiro, Mainoo, Shaw & Maguire in the same team there's a distinct lack of mobility and Mbeumo isn't the most hardworking player either, his from along with Amad's since they came back from the AFCON has been poor.

But as Maguire said since Carrick has come in we're better in both boxes, the first 4 games we were excellent but the football hasn't been great since then but we do have 17 points from 9 games. If Onana was still in net that could easily have been 8/9 points.

Shaw's had a good season but he can't get up and down like he used too, we'll have at least 10 more games next season so a new left back is imperative. Its a big summer ahead, going to have to buy a top centre half given De Ligt & Martinez can't stay fit. I'd like to see 3 new centre midfielders but they've briefed they'll buy 2, I think United will surprise people this summer like they did last summer and buy more players then expected.

Yeah looking like a new cb is needed, if Martinez and De Ligt could be relied on you're well stacked there but at the minute it's Maguire and 2 youngsters. Ideally a top right back is needed but the 2 we have are proving competent and Maz can cover across the back which is ideal.

Agree on Shaw, thought he was done but has had a super year, the body won't do 2 games a week next year though you'd imagine and cover will be needed. Going to be left with 1 midfielder next year, bare minimum 2 but realistically 3 will be needed with Europe and hopefully better domestic cup runs next season.

Priority will be the MF anything after that will be a bonus, will need at least 2 MF's in the summer. If can get Martinez and De Ligt both fit (Big IF) then at least there are options at CB.

Not sure if fair play is the right phrase given the money he's on, but Casemiro could very easily have been "injured" a fair bit these last few months and just collected a big wage with a World Cup coming up like a lot of players would but he has been exceptional, United would be in big bother without him going by the stats when Ugarte plays instead.

Would love him to get a World Cup in the summer

If they are intending on bringing multiple players in to the squad who are the exits going to be?

Ugarte has to be top of the list, Zirkzee looks like he's out the door too, anyone else?

Ugarte, Casemiro, possibly Zirkzee.

Huges question marks over Mount, De Ligt, Martinez fitness wise. They need to be adding bodies anyway as they're very light squad wise

I would be all for shifting Mount and De Ligt on, I'd give Martinez a while longer, but not long to prove fitness.

Frustrating as they're all good players but thats not worth a damn if they're not fit. Would get rid of Mount if possible, De Ligt a strange one, was meant to be a short term back injury but rumours that its a similar thing to Ferdinand which fecked him.

He isn't in his bollox trying to head the ball, he would´ve needed to be genuflecting to have a chance of that, It looked more he dipped his body so the ball would hopefully hit his shoulder, it was poor defending,  his arm was a bit out when the upper arm moved enough to deflect the ball, the video at 5.55 onward is clear. And I am not a fan of either team nor have I any axe to grind in the EPL.

Everton were robbed in a very similar way on Saturday, so VAR is consistent in its inconsistency.

Milltown Row2

Utd very lucky against a poor Liverpool team who should've went on to win that game
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Cunny Funt

League double over Liverpool and a deserved win that would/should have been more comfortable if didn't gift them two goals. 6 points ahead of Liverpool now this time last year were 46 points behind them.

Most important thing is Champions league football is now secured with three games to spare which is some improvement from last seasons 15th placed finish

Hopefully a full recovery for Alex Ferguson after his health scare before the game.

Milltown Row2

To play the extra games Utd would need to have better players to pick from next season.

I'm actually still not totally convinced on Carrick just yet, as strange as that sounds considering his results

Arsenal and City way ahead of the pack in behind them
