Coming to a Club Tyrone event on Monday in Garvaghey!  I'll get to meet him.

sans pessimism

Ticket system was a total fiasco-a waste of a few hours!

Jim Furyk will be captaining at Adare - worked out so well for him the first time in Paris.

Interesting pick indeed Gabe. Nice guy, hard to see what he brings in terms of fire and strategy - but I felt that way about Donald as well at the outset and what a legend he is turning into.

Has anyone finished Season 4 of Full Swing? Interesting to hear the individual thoughts on the Ryder Cup now that the dust has settled.

Full swing was great again, I think though the intrusive nature of a documentary can be distracting for the players I'd say..

The Americans are all in with the team, but unfortunately for them they have come up against a solid group of players that have mixed very well, that last day shootout nearly created the biggest comebacks in sporting history though, the collapse of the Europeans would not want to be revisited again

Going by season 4 of Full Swing. You wouldn't follow Bradley to the back door. Nice guy but absolutely no cut in him.

Played a proper scramble today. Proper as in no mulligans, no nonsense, not a fundraiser type scramble. We shot a gross 60, with a handicap of 6 for a net 54. Came tied for 14th. 14th!!!

Winners shot a gross 56, for a net win of 50. Wild Wild shooting. They aren't even that good, none of them ever compete in the individual or 2 ball games. One of the lads does win the match play regularly. We missed 3x 10 footers but didn't have a chance at a gross 56. We had 2 eagle putts come to within an inch. Condensed down, we never stood a chance at winning.

Stupid Game.

And again!!

Great bunker shot on 18 to get their job done fair play. The brother gets a 2 year PGA tour exemption now too.

Was going to ask that question, will he now get on the tour? Fantastic for him and for Matt to have his Bro at these tournaments going forward

Great shot from the bunker to take all the pressure off his brother.  I watched the last 9 holes and it really looked like they were going to throw it away.  But they rallied over the last 3.

I backed Matt Fitz for the Masters and he has won the next 2 tournaments after that :)

Were some teams taking gimmies for 6 foot putts?

Serious pressure on Matt Fitz. His PGA card is secure but he knew winning the event would get the brother a 2 year card. He was playing for the wee brother's future in the States.

54 just not good enough to get it done now.

Probably would get you around 2nd/3rd in our place because there is always a ridiculous score in. Team handicaps need to be capped, we've had teams out with 28 shots which is nonsense.

I love a scramble but never compete as handicap too low and most playing partners the same.

I've won and gone close in a few scrambles over the years and from experience, strange good things tend to happen if a bright start is had and happiness / confidence levels start brimming.

I'll put it another way. If playing our home course and everyone in the group is having an okay to good day off the tee, then I'd be expecting 4 x birdie attempts on pretty much every hole, on greens we know well.

Low scoring is a given.
