Some waste of money that.

A case they knew they'd never win. People hiding behind screens saying things..with no evidence. Just hearsay and 'I read a report one time' and 'I was told...' etc. No evidence at all.

Spooks and securocrats.

The "dogs on the street" know, but theres 0 proof.

Shinners bringing a motion of no confidence in government. I'd say any Independent backing the government will be in bother.

What would you like an opposition party to do ffs.

If they want to get into power, move to the right. Because Ireland is usually about 10-15 years behind US and UK. What you are seeing is the rise of right wing nationalism in Ireland - same as Trump/Farage/DUP/TUV - anti Eu, anti climate, anti immigrant. It has started off and the global right wing agitators are cheering it on. Fairly easy territory for SF to move into because they have always been anti-EU, and most parties in north have had scant regard for the environment and turned blind eye as farmers polluted all around them (and FG/FF no better). Even absolved themselves from UK carbon laws. Drill baby drill.

How to do think all these new roads and by-passes got built down south?

Genocide Organ

Ireland has been a net contributor to the EU for at least 20 years.

They don't do good news!
Membership of EU the cause of about 80% of Exchequer income, between the 200,000 multi national jobs and Corporation taxes.

Good job France, Germany, UK etc didn't take that attitude when Ireland was a net beneficiary for 40 years.

Shinners motion a waste of time tomorrow. Government will cicular the wagons. Depressing no decent opposition against current government.

Rossfan

Whether they're decent or not, they're in opposition because they were outvoted.

Interesting to see how it goes tomorrow. Surely no independent will be able to back the government now? Be some backlash from rural Ireland if they do.
