The hypocrisy around Malachy O'Rourke is embarrassing. You built him up when it suited you, pushed for him to take over, and now you're acting like he's the problem. It just shows that some people will never be happy unless they've something to complain about. Real supporters back their team and management through it all  they don't jump ship the second things get tough. All this talk says more about the people saying it than it ever will about him or the squad. Tyrone have the players, the mindset, and now the management to compete at the highest level. Malachy O'Rourke has proven he knows how to build serious teams, and that doesn't change overnight just because of a few results. There's a process to this, and if people show a bit of patience, they'll see a team that's growing stronger, more organised, and more dangerous. The Sam Maguire Cup is the goal, and there's no doubt they're building towards it the right way.

Malachy take the night off would you. Tyrone bang in the middle of division 2, multiple players taking holidays during the season, players stepping away, conceding goals every game, far worse off than this time last year.

Where do you see a team "more organised" when we allowed meath to kick two pointers at will.
Bad tactics (unsuited to available players) bad strength and conditioning, needed for new rules ( partly due to youth but bad resources man in NZ etc.) Bad coaching (Porter et al not up to it?)bad selection ( positional and Jordan,McKiernan)

It's impossible to argue against facts, this time last year we were

- incredibly unlucky to get relegated on the largest points total in div 1 history
- had Armagh on the ropes until we threw it away in last minute
- beat the all Ireland finalists in their own back yard
- beat Dublin in the AI QF

This year we are:

- genuinely on the brink of not even being in the all Ireland series.
- Only beat the two teams who are likely to be relegated to Div 3
- appear to have a very unhappy camp

I'm definitely not saying this in a 'get MOR out' way but the trend is incredibly worrying. We look to have no shape, I can't see any discernable game plan, we're giving away horrendous goals, not defending obvious threats (e.g. Meath no12 having the time of his life kicking 2 pointers for the craic) and I could go on.

I'll absolutely be in the athletic grounds convincing myself we've a chance, however, setting aside the emotional brain my logical thoughts are all doom and gloom.

For all the doom and gloom and admittedly it is fully warranted I actually think we can sneak a win in the AG.

Surely we can fire on all cylinders for one game each year and let's hope it is that one. Armagh are in much better shape and physically much better than us but I just have a sneaky feeling we can snatch a victory assuming all our keys players perform on the day

I presume he's injured as looked to be more than a week recovery type of injury

McCurry to start and score 10+ points. You heard it here first.

I wouldn't be surprised one way or the other if Morgan started or was benched.

Our defenders are OK individually but as a unit we are all over the place and are as bad as what is going to be in the AI series. Last year our half forward line was the issue and this year it's that plus the half back line.

I would have been of the view point coming into this year that we were in the top three/four based on last year and especially with players coming into the panel and ready to push on.
What has followed has been a shambles of a league campaign. A relatively straight forward promotion has instead turned into a mathematical possibility of relegation to division 3 on the final day - yes highly unlikely - but it is a position we have no earn being anywhere near.
Need to get McCurry, Darragh and McElholm on the pitch together from the start in preparation for Armagh.

Since 2021 almost all our players have regressed.

What new players have come in and nailed down a starting position? I'd say just Devlin and Teague.

Yes we are in transition but 5+ years of this crap is not good enough considering our underage success.

Exactly. Players stopped playing for dooher and looks like they have stopped playing for O'Rourke. Not good enough. Too many soft players in that team. Talk about transition for a long time now but in reality we have really started that process. Get rid of anyone not committed and start actual transition

Thats where im at at the moment.
Cant be the manager again lads.
When is the last time you seen a stirring / strong finish from us in a tight game. A bit of heart and fight. Pride in the jersey.
The current squad look completely characterless.
I think Malachy needs to address strength and conditioning coaching.
Also he lost Chris lawn & didnt replace him. He could do with another wise head in there next season alongside him.

Topoftheworld

Dont think he's there next season

Onthe40

Is Colm McCullagh still there?
Rarely see him on the sidelines these days

is he not the forwards coach?
