If Cavan can win today they are also likely to stay up given Kildare's form.
Armagh not relegated yet. Home game vs Kerry next day and will be buoyed up with the win last night.

Yes forgot about Cavan. My post was at half time in the Dublin v Armagh game,  that comeback win could well be enough to stay up on it's own now as Galway should be good enough to beat and relegated Dublin to Division two.

I'd say Kildare like 99.99% of the country know the craic with temp blood / concussion subs

Cavan trail by two in Tullamore at half time, against a very strong wind, so notwithstanding the fact that Cavan are Cavan, you'd have to think Cavan can see this one home now.

55 minutes 2.12 apiece. Cavan striving manfully to find a way to lose it although we've just closed a five point gap with a rapid fire 1-2.

Surely cavan can't lose this so late again...

We're doing our best! We truly are shambles. An Offaly team that couldn't buy a point all year are (as I feared) giving it a real lash at home and if this game is close and comes down to who wants it more or has the bigger set of cojones, it's hard to see it being Cavan.

A worldie 2-pointer from about 60m in the final minute from Ryan Donohoe put Cavan one in front and then we won the crucial resulting kickout and added an insurance score. Surprised me with the gumption we showed to be honest, particularly after leaking a goal.

I was at the game and it was clearly wide ,whatever the ref and umpires were seeing. But got the win. The 2 cavan goals were fortunate,  dropped shots which the offaly keeper should have done better.

Hard to know, depending on so many of the old guard as we continue to do, further exposure to high level league and championship football is good for this squad but I suppose you'd have to feel if they are to have any chance of developing, decent opposition will bring you on more. That's on the field, off it I don't know if we have the right people and attitude to progress.

Promotion almost guaranteed now. So some might say job done. But a little bit of silverware always helps build confidence. So while one ey rightly will now turn to winning Leinster and a serious assault on the all Ireland, i would still put out best players in a league final. But who will that be against? Looking like cork at this stage

Cavan could lose 5 games and stay up. 4pts wouldn't usually keep you up but kildare being so poor gives them that chance. I don't see cavan getting anything in derry.  Kildare are playing at home ,but Louth with momentum should win.

Losing to a very vulnerable Cavan team will be a big regret for Kildare for a while, yep. I felt at the start of the season that there ought to be at least one team in the division, along with Offaly, who'd be that little bit worse than ourselves given the number of old hands we have on board. If we stay up though it seems more like a stay of execution because we look set to get considerably worse before getting better, whereas Kildare have a good shout at coming back up out of Division 3 quickly, Cavan might be making their home there for a while if/when we do go down.
