Not sure the North/South bias actually exists. If you're good enough you'll compete for your place regardless of which side of the glenshane you're on. We've a North Derry man doing very well for himself in the AFL and I think we all wish he'd come home and pull the red and white jersey on again.

Strabane is in Tyrone - so immediately the figures are skewed.

According to the GAAs demographics report last year Derry has 5,500 Youth Male players & 2,600 Adult Male players so I'd say the city figures would be well below 4k

Started up by a handful of Gaels to cover the Culmore village and surrounding areas
As far as I know they've acquired land down on the waters edge and are working through red tape (what I don't know). The land will include a big community indoor hall according to someone who was at an open meeting a while back...will be great for that area as there's a huge amount of houses and wains about
