Are them 3 gone or not? I've no idea what that means.

Apologies, I have heard Mark Doherty is to begin training with Newbridge again, Sean Kearney is debating leaving and Jack Doherty left this week. Hopefully I'm wrong but I heard Conor McAteer had left from the same people.

A lot of cryptic messages on here at times.

Just say what you mean.

I now have an image of Sean Kearney in that Pablo Escobar gif mulling over his life choices

Its a massive commitment for boys on the periphery of things. Patience could be rewarded but theres not many patient people about nowadays.

Why Doherty think of leaving when started last week and played rightly!

Ryan O

To be honest I thought it would be hard for Sean Kearney to stay when Niall O Donnell and Charlie Diamond got a run out before him last week. Realistically it looks like theres Mc Guigan, Loughlin, Murray, Toner, O Donnell, Diamond all ahead of him for spot in full forward line.

Personally don't think the state of pitches at the minute would help but definitely its pity if he's left. I Would have been interested to see how he coped at that level.

God forbid u have to fight for a place on a county panel.Theres plenty of games coming this yr.

Newbridge Exile

Derry minors down by two against Antrim at half time , have the breeze in the second half

It's unfortunate, but let's face it, two of them who left aren't good enough to play. Which is why they haven't played. McAteer had potential (and did play) so he's the only one that we can consider a loss.

As for Kearney, the fella has won the lottery currently as he'll probably never be on another county squad. So no idea why he'd walk away now. Byt he'll be further down the pecking order when the U20s are finished so who knows.

It's obviously a huge commitment for them but I wouldn't be losing any sleep. If Derry are to win an all Ireland it'll be with 18 or 19 core players not a raft of lads who blow in and out.
