Although it's definitely improved lately. I think Lammens, Cunha, Mbuemo, Heaven will all turn out to be excellent signings.

De Ligt, Mazouri and Yoro going back abit further all decent signings, Amad too.

Outside of that any of the players who played well in parts have asterisks beside them- Martial always injured, Matic, Casemiro, Pogba, Varane, Ronaldo, Zlatan all had good spells but not long enough, especially for the money. Some absolute brutal signings who cost a bomb and gave them absolutely nothing- Di Maria, Antony, Sanchez, Sancho..
Sanchez was probably the most disappointing was a star at rival club then fell apart once came to Manchester.

Yoro to date for the money spent has been uninspiring can't command a regular place despite De Ligt, Martinez, Maguire and Mazrouri being unavailable at different times this season through one reason or another.
Yeah true, still very young for a centre back though and I do think he'll come good.

Cunha and Mbeumo will most likely prove good signings
Good being the operative word. 100 odd signings and we are saying 5 'weren't terrible'.

The whole club needs tearing down before success is almost possible.
Could probably go through them all and find a few more that were alright, but I take your point.

Club is rotten from the top down.
I kinda have and there are no signings you would say were unambiguous successes. That is statistically difficult.

Far too many blazers and the club culture won't allow a manager to have the power they require to get a grip. I'm not suggesting Ferguson levels of power, but they need to pick someone and hand him some blank cheques and give him control.

Would Klopp take it?
I don't think he is long term answer but Southgate was able to unite a really toxic atmosphere between English media and players and had the media pulling with team for the first time in my lifetime.  Having someone able to work with the hierarchy is going to be crucial as doesn't seem be a club pulling in the same direction.

I don't think Klopp would take it if he thought managing Liverpool was draining the current setup at United is at a different level.

Southgate is actually a good call. But the challenges an international manager has are different to a managing a dysfunctional club.

The reality though is the days of a Ferguson having control of every aspect of a club are probably gone. And Ferguson certainly wouldn't have gotten the rime to build he was given these days. Those days are long gone.

You're attempts at wind ups are 2/10 at best. Please do better.

Irony is dead.

Klopp take over Man United? Is that a serious question?
Tomorrow is not guaranteed

After Rúben Amorim's sacking, more details have emerged about his time at Manchester United. Following a match last February, Amorim revealed to one source that he knew United wouldn't win simply by watching how his players tied their laces before the warm-up. In the same conversation, he admitted he feared the club was "broken," saying he didn't know how to fix it because the squad he inherited was "fragile." He was particularly shocked by what he saw as a lack of physicality, often becoming frustrated as players repeatedly lost one-on-one duels.

He was the managerial equivalent of Rashford, deluded

Put it to you like this, Real or Barca offer him the job with 1 single caveat, he has to play 4 at the back 4-1-2-2-1, does the take the job and comply, you bet your ass he does

The man took one incredible opportunity and pissed it against the wall, that was his peak, he'll never reach that height again, what a muppet

The answer to how to fix Man U is simple - new ownership!  Everything else is just tinkering.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Surprised you haven't asked for Roy to be manager in this post... been in most of them lately lol
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

I hear that Darren Fletcher rang SAF for his blessing before accepting the interim role

Honest to dog, wall to wall wet wipes hankering to a bygone era

Roy walks in the room the players sit up straight and run harder, similar to MON at Celtic due to their icon status at both clubs, maybe it doesn't work longer term, maybe Roy has limitations like Gatusso Xavi Pirlo who all had a stab a managing massive clubs, or maybe Roy pulls a Zidane type midas touch

Whats obvious is that Utd lack the imagination to make the obvious appointment, or even go for someone like Joachim Low as interim who only won the WC with Germany, what you are now witnessing is Jason Wilcox in survival mode - he'll appoint a doormat as interim, stroke the season off at the mid point when CL football is very much achievable and he'll try to reboot with Tuchel next year ... but apparently its all the Glazers fault

The same owners at the helm for 5 PL titles, a third of Fergies league haul and all 3 of Utds CL finals this century

The Glazers have nothing to do with what happens at Carrington or match day performance, they've bankrolled gross incompetence, if anything they've backed the wrong horse (pardon the pun) a few times with goons like Ed Woodward, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Jason Wilcox, and sure wasn't it SAF himself who selected Moyes, so yeah, all the Glazers doing
