Didn't stop a no of posters with Gallagher though, what's he charged with again? Nugent actually up on charges with a trial forthcoming, and they were giving Naas a hard time.

I'll just leave this one here.

Quote from: Norm-Peterson on November 02, 2024, 10:15:24 PMIt is funny how Kyle Hayes was given an All Star despite his criminal convictions yet Rory Gallagher can't get the Derry job (or another county job) because of alleged criminality.
Think a fight in a nightclub is a bit different than beating up a woman for years...

Quote from: Munchie on October 11, 2025, 10:09:48 PMMadden surely favourites now.
Not for me tbh, wide open and if Madden did look like winning the final that bit of experience and belief Cullyhanna will have got from clawing back wins in the last 2 games could be invaluable.

How many times do we see the team that beats the favourites in the semi final end up coming up short in the final?

We wait on Jarlath forthcoming call to Cullyhanna, sure he's only down the road!

I'm not from Armagh but I raised an eyebrow.

That said, Kavan Keenan kicking ball in Antrim with seemingly no objections.

To say what congrats on reaching county final.

As mentioned social media is a cesspit, what's Nugent been found guilty off?

What was Gallagher found guilty of? Or charged with? Now, maybe Burns did write to Cullyhanna like he did with Naas, but surely we'd have heard something by now. He felt it inappropriate to have Gallagher anywhere near the game, despite there being no prosecution. In Nugent's case, he's been charged with some pretty heinous stuff and is awaiting trial, but not a peep from Burns about his fellow Armagh man less than five minutes up the road?

To be crystal clear, I think Derry 100% did the right thing. There was no way he could have continued in his position.

I am not a man of law but I do think if there is a court case folk can't interfere no matter how heinous the crime, I do repeat if Nugent did what he has been accused off throw the book at him. I do think you are all about county scoring points so this will be my last comment. The truth will come out but trust me Arnagb are not united around protecting Mr Nugent.

Alleged physical assault on woman, case thrown out without going to trial..life time ban from Gaa.

Charged sexual assault against woman, while awaiting trial...continue to play for gaa.

Fantastic message sent out by Burns.

Jarlath  left himself wide open with the Gallagher thing. Now every misdemeanour (or alleged misdemeanour) from a player/coach  , people will ask, why not go after X or  Y, like you did with Gallagher ? (As we see now   with Nugent )

We  all seen what the  general public opinion was   after the RG allegations came out. I think Jarlath  was more interested in "to be seen to be doing the right thing"    rather than  abiding   by any GAA rules or the law

Yeah would agree on that. Inn fairness to Jarlath he said he couldnt comment on the Nugent situation as it was ongoing. (His words not mine before any clowns have a go at me)
