TG4 a little too focused on coach Stephen O Meara in the stand.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

For years youse culchies have been saying , "take it to Owenbeg and the masses will follow."

This shows what a big pile of balls it is

Wildweasel74

Overall a good game but the 3rd Goal by Slaughtneil shouldnt counted!

Wildweasel74

There been nobody at it at Celtic park.

I count 9 steps for that slaughtneil goal.

Barry was very poor. Black card decision was awful but at least had the decency to even the score by giving a soft black to slaughtneil too.

Rory McGill and Ruairi O Mianian were exceptional

As a neutral at that game today the standard of refereeing was absolutely shocking. The two big decisions the black cards were definitely wrong but it was all the small things also.
Slaughneil goal too many steps for goal, couple calls for touching ball on ground, Lavey 5 going off injured for what was a really dangerous tackle,  pulling a lad down onto ground when in the air is a yellow at very least.
Pulling players back for tap and go when advantage should have been played.

He actually waved away a Lavey shout for Slaughneil keeper touching ball on the ground in first half and made the gesture that it was up a bit, let the game go for about 10s and then pulled it back for touching on the ground after holding his ear.Who was in his ear and made that call?

Derry really need to look at this when its starting to effect the quality of the game on the pitch.

That's him, I posted up the full piece on the rules thread yesterday.

Quote of the day from Stephen O Meara when Slaughneil were 3 up.
" Grassy ( Lavey 6) let them score so we can get this man back on"
Black card time was up. he's being paid for this kinda of tactical know how.🤔🤔

the goal was on

Good to see our county manager doing water boy at a tyrone club game rather than attending the quarter finals in owenbeg! As for o meara, could he be any more full of himself.

Bad day at the office for Barry Cassidy. The Lavey black card is one of the most ridiculous I've ever seen. What was the lad meant to do? Cassidy didn't even give a free, just blew it late after the over-reaction from the player.
The 2nd Slaughtneil goal was carried for 10 steps before shooting. Barry missed that too.

As for that O'Meara fella? He's media hungry stats man who loves the limelight and calls himself a coach. Lavey can do better than that lad.

Proud of the boys today. Great effort. Unlucky at the end there.

Maybe try an pick a manager from your own county then

Seems to love himself a bit. Loves to be in the limelight.

Couldn't make head nor tail of what he was saying in that article. Just seemed to want to twist with every question O'Kane asked him.

As a result, no doubt, we'll be hearing a lot more from him.  ::)

He is down as a coach for them and from what I've seen of them this year he's probably more the manager. Its also his own club. Personally think thats exactly where he should be. He'll be at Owenbeg soon enough.
Majority of our squad still playing anyway.
