But surely we value our Championship higher than our League?

I believe the two paragraphs above the one you put in bold shows what we can take from any team's League face v Championship face.

I agree. Historically though it has always went by leagues. How do you compare which championship group was harder etc etc. I think they will keep it as is because it will be too much of a mess to sort otherwise, I hope I am wrong though

I have heard very little by way of complaint from players of coaches about the current structure.

And I talk to people involved across a number of clubs.

It's mainly on here.

I mean half the counties footballers are playing div 1.

Easy wins for the top teams and then the rest yet to call themselves senior footballers

Lads aren't complaining, it's just a farce

Quote from: Na Glinntí Glasa on September 09, 2025, 10:13:05 AMLast year there was a cosy gathering of clubs that wanted to ensure that it was D1 league = senior championship.

All going on in the back ground wanting the senior championship to be division 1 clubs + intermediate championship winners.

The county were forced to streamline SFC to a maximum of 16 teams due to a change in the Official Guide regulations in 2023.

Bollicks

Well, SFC was going to have 17 teams in 2025 without the restructuring put in place! So apologises that they didn't streamline the  SFC

Youngatheart

Why is only 3 out of 4 SFC games being streamed, strange Rossa v Creggan not being streamed ??

Take the Mark

Might it have something to do with it being played in Hannastown? I dont recall seeing any games live streamed for that venue.

More appropriate venues not being used this weekend are Ahoghill, Glenavy, Portglenone, Ballymena and of course Corrigan. Hightown is also a better venue.

Cargin Aghagallon qtr final in 2023 was streamed.

Take the Mark

Fair enough, I was at it unfortunately. After a cross country hike to get there.

4 were streamed the other years because I bought a weekend pass for maybe a tenner and watched them all. I don't think passes are done any more  :(

Take the Mark

ITG there is a package of 3 streams this weekend for a mere TWENTY FIVE QUID  :o

Live streaming is a great thing regardless of the pricing, the quality of footage is usually top class and theres an added bonus of being able to get a look at anything contentious again. As we know, in the recent past theres been at least 1 dubious decision leading to a suspension (which got rightly overturned as it was completely scandalous).

imtommygunn

;D I'm not that bothered about the price tbh but we definitely had 4 games was more my point. I did not realise there was a package at all so I might just get that now cheers.

Take the Mark

I'll probably take in 3 of them and, like the package itself will give the Hill a bye ball.

Na Glinntí Glasa

Don't worry, we will be bombarded with socials telling us to buy the stream, buy the stream, with zero updates as to the half time scores via our county socials.

Thankfully the clubs, mostly, update the live scores as the games are being played.

Its always a promotion & tagging of clubs socials to buy the stream more than actual tickets for the games!

I heard the rumour at the weekend that Jerome Quinn won't allow the county to tweet the scores. I stress the word rumour there.

Any predictions for the weekend ?
