Obviously more going on there with Ten Hag. Strange one.

Serious pressure on the young lad. Needs to get plenty of support but no doubt the muppets will be out in force after the first mistake. Very highly rated seemingly but honestly don't know much about him. Got to be an upgrade on whats there though.

It's definitely a bigger risk than taking Emi Martinez who is proven in the Premier league.
Absolutely.

Both would be the proper way to do it if dumb and dumber would leave.

Calls people muppets for possible future abuse of new keeper,in the same breath abuses current keepers by calling them dumb and dumber!!

Ones a young lad coming to a new league who will no doubt need time to settle. The other 2 are meant to be experienced keepers. But sure you know that anyway...

So how long until you think it's ok to start abusing the new fella? Is there are certain amount of games or number of mistakes you have in mind.

How do the Villa fans rate him? I've saw a few stats on him over the weekend which weren't great. He comes across a better keeper than the stats suggested.

Not a bad days business so far, hopefully that's Sancho out the door for good.
Antony and Hojlund heading too (although I would have kept him around)

With the new keeper in the door. Can't be much worse than what is there at the moment, very highly rated in Belgium so will see how it turns out.

Reality is that he wasnt good last year overall. That said, I think he's quality and the bigger the games (usually) the better he performs. He's a big presence, a character, a shithouse. Utd pressure wouldnt faze him.

He hasnt left villa the right way. He signed a 4 year deal last year spouting about believing the project.  He got sent off ironically v utd and possibly cost Villa CL football. He has been touting himself all over the show this summer and here we are on the final day with a player who wants away, with possibly nowhere to go, and his bridges burned by refusing to play.

Good day, be nice to get a midfielder even on loan but unlikely. Should be money in the pot in January for a midfielder? Serious wage savings on those boys who've left.

Apologies - got caught out with a take the piss Sky Sports twitter handle.

I just read there he changed his agent in the summer. They are turning into a massive problem.

Mainoo agent is getting blamed for pushing for a move. Young players need a bit of patience. Ten Haag's agency were allegedly heavily involved in some of the signings in his time. Rashford and his brother. Pogba and Riola back in the day - Ferguson was having none of him.

I do have sympathy for Mainoo, lad was starting for England not so long ago and now can't get into the worst United midfield I can remember. But he does need to have patience and prove he deserves a place.

Villa must be sick, getting left with an unhappy Martinez and signing 2 United duds.
