Good to see coalisland with half their senior team out in the reserve championship last night beat at the end by Clonoe. Clonoe going for the clean sweep of all 4 competitions... while their neighbours coalisland are sleeping

Heard Clonoe brought Mickey Mansell's oldest cub out of Dublin where he is living to play the final. And their top scorer in the league was also playing so it wasn't just the island that were at it

At what? The players on both teams were eligible to play... what's the problem?

Playing senior players. Where in my post did I say there was anything wrong with it? If they are eligible to play then there's no problem.

Just think the island should have their senior players all focused on the championship next week with them not winning the league. they are division 1 team at the end of the day or so they think they are.

It was a championship final against their biggest rivals. That's ridiculous.

Would also go as far to say winning the game yesterday would've been worse for yourselfs as the team would've gone on the drink the whole weekend which wouldn't be great preparation for the upcoming game v Eglish

Or maybe I get the ethos of the GAA and the championship. Whether it is the Sam Maguire Cup, O'Neill Cup, any league grade, reserve, underage, girls, boys.. the championship is special. Go to any final and see what it means to the players. Of course you want to win it and put out your best team. Are you 14? gloating about how another club is doing... probably be on here slagging off Man United or Rangers at the weekend...

Omagh v Clogher - is there any point in Omagh turning up what an awful idea for them to make a thirds team didn't even field half the year

Cookstown v killyman - it is possible that killyman may not even score in this game. Cookstown by at least 30

Augher v eskra - eskra will nick the win with a few quality forward players

Clan na Gael v Urney - could go either way, two poor sides think Urney will just edge it

Brackaville v brocagh - Brackaville with a comeback v the tats will have the confidence high but brocagh will take them down to their level - Brackaville just edge a win

Castlederg v Strabane - derg not won a game all year think it will stay that way

Errigal v derrytresk - errigal could provide an upset but unlikely - Kyle coneys men will win again I think

Drumragh v glenelly - drumragh will win, think they have a shout for the championship very good side when everyone's fit

Omagh 3rds haven't fielded since June, they should not have been allowed to enter the championship.

Whoever's bright idea it was for Omagh to field a 3rds team needs whacked Tommy DeVito style.

Hopefully that's be the end of that experiment. Didn't bother fielding in 10 games in the league and hammered by 40 points in the championship. If they want a 3rds team they may put a proposal into the county board to set up a 3rds league.

YO! is correct - they shouldn't have been allowed to field in the championship.

Listen they tried the league and it didn't work out and they folded. How it was decided that they could field in the championship I don't know.
