Quote from: snoopdog on August 07, 2025, 08:13:12 AMThe likes of sancho will go at end of August in a fire sale just to get rid. Surely Garnacho and Anthony have some worth.
Looking at Blaebo now from Brighton , goalkeeper is also needed.
Wages would be the problem for the 3 of them, what sort of money is Garnacho on I'm sure he got a big enough deal when he broke through? They'd be going to clubs that won't pay crazy wages.

They'll likely end up loaned out with Utd still paying a lot of their wage.

I think Garnacho is the one who could bring in a fee, the others on the Out list will likely end up on loan somewhere. So hard to get rid of these players on huge contracts.

To be fair, if they happen to bring in a mid fielder before the window closes I would have said that the squad is better than previously.

Is the Mondeo still on the books?
Nordie Tayto is shite

McT with the Ballon d'Or nomination!

Knock Yer Mucker In

At this point you have to seriously question Ten hags ability to judge a player our whoever made those decisions. To bring in Anthony, Sancho, Hojlund and then get rid of a player with a serious attitude, hunger and would die for the team like McT. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.
local expert is as sick as a dog, ate to many mc dollars

Ole brought  in Sancho. How much  Ole wanted him was another matter.

To expect a young lad like Hojlund  to lead the attack was absolute madness. He wasn't a prolific striker before he joined , so  it was  crazy to think he'd  be a success.

Letting McTominay go  was the worst  decision since they let Tevez go.

Never heard of this Sesko fella , but no doubt he'll  be a disaster too.

tiempo

And still plenty will come on here and say McTominay "wasn't a Man Utd player"

Guaranteed howler inbound from Onana against Arsenal in the opening game, and Niall Morgan sat there available free of charge no-one in these scouting networks with a baldys notion, mind you they missed Adam Wharton and Steven Nzonzi on their doorstep in recent years is it any wonder

Look-Up!

SMcT situation was well debated on here last year. Incredibly stupid piece of business no matter how the bean counters justified it.

Brilliant squad player. For the wages he was on relative to what he brought to the team in goals and no dramas work ethic, he was massive massive bang for buck. Exactly the type of unheralded player SAF built his legacy on.

Shows what a mad club it is that some would still argue it was right to move him on.

In fairness to Ten Hag it was said at the time he didn't want to sell McT, the player wanted to leave and the higher ups were happy to get the money for him because he counted as homegrown which was good for the books.

100% I wish he'd stayed, but if he wanted to leave theres not much you can do and the way his career has went since he was totally justified in leaving.

It was right to move him on, despite what some who watch him once in a blue moon will say. He wasn't at the required standard. His touch is probably the worst of any United midfielder I've seen in the last 10 years.

There were a lot of opposition goalkeepers weren't too fond of his touch either.

Just on Utd philosophy and what a Utd player should be, what style of play do the fans expect this year?

Amorim had a difficult start and he's a great talker but the overall picture of what he's trying to achieve, or more accurately how he'll go about it, is still very much unclear. And the messages from the boardroom are even muddier.

So much for having no money, selling before buying and going on a sacking spree. Must have been some stuff they were putting in the sandwiches at OT. Some amount of money freed up from stopping the lunches.

Must be kicking the can down the road.

Lmao at the state of all this after timing. I'm sure the lot of you were crying your lamps out when McT left.

"Never heard of this Sesko fella". Says it all really.

For every goal knocked in, there were two conceded from being overrun or losing the ball in midfield.
