Blowitupref

According to journalist John Fogarty Donegal to wear white for this match and Meath yellow.

Going to look something like this

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

BillyFlynnfromTrim will be along shortly with his essay to tell us all how many games Meath won and lost wearing yellow and how they fared against teams in white?

Ach leave Billy be. He's very thorough to be fair.

Meath mania has definitely returned. The guitars and keyboards are out and songs are being written (badly).

We haven't had some songs written about us for a while. 2015 was the last time I remember before the Leinster final I think.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

It's hard to figure out where they start and where they end to be honest

Neither Meath or Donegal will wear alternative jerseys it has been confirmed. It will tough on the eyes.

Why cant someone allow common sense prevail. Meath wear Navy and Donegal wear white.

They were saying on the football pod that Meath had asked to wear Navy. Surely that would have made more sense.

There needs to be guidelines for change kits at county level now to work around clashes. There's too many kits that are too similar. Tipp having a navy change strip was weird I thought. Rafferty in navy with the rest of the team in black wasn't great either.

In the past they would've worn their provincial colours!

Gael-in-exile

If as is currently suggested they both wear their home kit then it looks likes a level of common sense has prevailed.

Yes if both counties were asked to change was it because both are officially designated as Green & Gold/Yellow?

Certainly allowing navy and white as the alternative choices would've been the best suggestion for a change. But are counties pushed to wear what each year is designated as the away jersey and for Meath that was the Lemon/Yellow colour?

American football all teams wear white as the alternate and if my limited knowledge is correct must wear it for away games.

Should a rule like this be implemented? If you ask me O'Neills are the winners in all of this.
A few years now I have seen counties with almost half a dozen playing jerseys within the space of 2/3 years. Home, away, gk, gk alternate, then a new away for year two, a possible special edition. And that's without alternate sponsors or new sponsors.

Designating legislation to follow may help the clashes but also save a penny or two for the keen fan.

Why do counties have  second and third jerseys if they never  actually wear them?

Surely this is an occasion where  a change of  jersey for each team is  needed

Too much of a clash to me. One should definitely change.

Both should change  in fairness

It wouldn't happen to any other county.  Donegal being picked on again, isn't that right Jim
