Hasn't been a mention of the leagues so I doubt it, when are the championhip draws being held?

No one seems to know. Are there any dates set?

Saying that goals are going out of fashion due to 2 pointers, maybe true if you aren't playing Derry. I get the impression he hates the new rules.

Yep heard him on OTB. You'd nearly think they had a great season by the sounds of him. Seemed delighted with things. The excuses were well lined up too.
One of the best panel of players in the country didn't win a match all year Paddy, that's not super!

He hasn't stood up yet to say he made a bollacks playing a man in nets who never played there, or a keeper who last played in 2018. Nor not contesting kickouts the whole run of the league.

It is very difficult to really judge Tally on the season. On paper, ok no victories but there were some signs that the team can still be dangerous. I dont see him being the man to win an Ulster or reach an All Ireland final. Tactically he is a level or two below the real elite managers.

In saying all that any team with McCluskey, McEvoy, McKinless, Glass, Rogers, McFaul, E.Doherty and McGuigan can be a threat to anyone on their day.

Is it worth persevering with Tally for another year? Well the real question should be- after the disastrous managerial hunt last year can we really do any better??

In short, yes.
Lets just hope he can reflect on the mistakes we all know he made and that the players can keep their hopes up knowing we had some real strong performances this year

Derry didn't really have much of an option keeper wise once Lynch picked up his injury? Ethan Rafferty has worked out well for Armagh unfortunately for Derry McNicholl didn't.

Thought McCluskey was excellent on Saturday when came in a player that the new rules will really suit can defend 1 v1 and great pace on the counter was sorely missed by Derry this year.  The Derry situation is a bit similar to Man Utd under ETH where the right man probably isn't in the hot seat, but there is no stand out option at the moment to take the role.

Derry have alot of highly rated players in the middle 8 playing on Saturday, Doherty, Glass, McGrogan, McFaul etc how they got such a hammering on kickouts on Saturday would be a big worry along with their lack of a kicking game.

McFaul would frustrate me as a Derry fan very talented lad, but continually involved in off the ball nonsense and always needs two or three touches before he moves the ball on. Would he be an option for Derry as a ball winning inside forward?

Derry have a lot of players who were highly rated when playing what was a very different game over the last few years. It may be their skill set is not as useful in the 2025 version of football. Or that the way we set up tactically meant they couldn't reach their best.
The team was certainly improving as the year went on and the form of individual players also appeared to be getting better, unfortunately that won't count for much in seven months time. Since the NFL title the results have been a disaster, signs that it was coming together should mean improvement next year though it is a pretty low baseline. One thing we definitely need to do is stop the rot and avoid slipping back to Division 3.

I know he gets ragged on but the tohill experiment went on too long, whatever advantages he provides fielding the ball is quickly negated by his total lack of scoring prowess.  Teams respect rodgers behind the arc and I hope he wears the 9 jersey next year again.

I hope there's a bit of rejigging to get McEvoy back in CHB again as well
