I seen that out in ederney myself. I was wondering what that nonce Petey Performance was at up on the hill videoing the game. Then after I seen sunbeds McCabe yapping to McGurn in the stands in front of the camera.

I'd agree with you there magpie, there's not a bit of need for all that fancy camera shite in the gaa. There's a reason Kevin O C got dropped from Kildare (not because he's 100kg, but his social media).

Catch a grip posting stuff like that about someone ffs.

Don't think it was one player getting attention, 2 of the co-hosts counties were facing each other and the 3rd host went up to watch and talk about the game then spoke to the 2 lads after the game. Not a big deal at all.

Quote from: Captain Scarlet on February 05, 2025, 10:59:02 AMCan I ask how good are Offaly? It's hard to know sometimes as you would hear of lads missing and others not being available in terms of the opposition, but they do seem to be going well.

I think Harte has given Offaly a bounce of sorts.

However, the first 2 league games have been set up nicely for Offaly. Sligo are down players this year, and Offaly drew with them away last year when they were nearer full strength.
Offaly beat Leix last year in the championship by 8 points - they were down to 14 players that day, but were closer to full strength personnel wise.

In last year's league Offaly lost the first 4 games (2 of them by a point) and it probably exacerbated the negativity towards Declan Kelly from some key players on the panel.

The new rules have been a help. The main reason being that Offaly didn't come to terms with the game when it evolved towards massed defences. In the post-Jim McGuinness era, Offaly struggled to break down teams who dropped behind the ball, and struggled to implement an effective defensive system to match their rivals.
The better Offaly performances were in open, shoot outs. Offaly have some smaller and pacier players who look more at home in the new system. Early days of course.

I get they're tryna to get their brand out there but maybe if they provided some good analysis and insight to the games maybe they'd be able to fund themselves. He constantly talks about how he scored a 2pointer how he nearly scored a goal. Sometimes I wonder does he know his teammates name. How you can have an hour + long podcast and keep all topics on yourself is beyond me. Look credit where's it's deserved mcgurn is one of fermanghs best but all this off pitch stuff really irks me! Maybe cos I'm an oap and don't understand this new gen

I absolutely agree with you mag. Who cares if your 15 or 75, this camera and podcast nonsense should be kept away from our beautiful game. I hope Kieran Donnelly had a word with McGurn after this. McGurn is an excellent player and has a big future ahead of him, but he just needs to focus on himself. Making a recording with an opponent after a battle with them just doesn't make sense ( I know McCabe was injured) but come on now!!

Look I am new to this so maybe I thought this was a board where we were free to express our honest opinions. I'm genuinely trying to give an insight to my opinions I didn't know this board was full of so many boring bastards who can't accept a bit of blunt honesty and truth. In life you need to take things on directly if you came here for people's predictions on how this division is gonna finish than maybe think for yourself instead of reading stuff here 😴

Im a bit of a newbie here too mag, but i can see where you are coming from. People like armagh18 putting us down, calling us WUMs for no reason. The GAA is all about integrity, culture and perception, but the majority here have none. I just want to feel welcomed and share my views and opinions in peace, maybe with a bit of banter ( it never hurt anyone am i right??) I dont believe i have done anything to offend Armagh, so i dont know why they feel like piping up and causing hurt to me.

Everything I say is justified. If you saw him standing on the hill with a cap and sunglasses on one of the dullest days of the year you wouldve thought the same. Like I said I'm just here to share my opinion like yourself. If you would allow me to do that instead of pelting me with abuse like "WUM" it would be greatly appreciated.

Probably been on the hogan stand more times than you've had w**ks. So I'd be far from a reject. And as for running around under multi names you are also very wrong.

Half time Leitrim 0-2 Laois 3-12.  Contested ended inside 10 minutes with Laois scoring all three goals then.  Difficult year ahead for Leitrim down on lot of last years starters with injuries and those who have opted out.   3-20 to 0-6 it finished.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Poacher's parking the bus mustn't be working with these new rules.

Not a great start to his IC career!

SouthOfThe Bann

Leitrim a disgrace for a county that concentrate solely on football.

They should be taking inspiration from fermanagh.

Less clubs; with nearly as many soccer clubs and lots of other sports but still punch above their weight.
