Only one score in the whole second half across both teams, jaysis.

Didnt get but surprised the game went ahead. What was the big rush in the week that it's been and the atrocious conditions today.

The macrory cup games the feedback and the scores in games would indicate the rule changes are well needed for the younger generation. Alot of these lads will have been coached to retain the ball, hopefully there will be more emphasis on attacking play from coaches to exploit the new rules and increase in risk taking for the county game in next 5-10 years.

Not sure but I'd guess that county minor managers can pull rank very shortly.

I had made plans to go, but when I saw the weather that afternoon I decided against it.  Looking at the scoreline, I'm glad I didnt go.

The washingbay is a brutal venue for a windy day. You'd kick a ball forward it would soon go backwards over your head.

felt really sorry for those lads yesterday that those conditions and setting were allowed to dictate whether they appeared in maybe the biggest occasion of their football lives (for I'm sure many of them)
it was impossible to score, it wasn't a game of football, it was a scrap

My feelings also.  Both teams were let down by having to play in that.  Decision making at all levels across the gaa baffles me sometimes.
I tend to think of myself as a one man wolfpack...

Sounds perfect for keepers that are being forced to kick it 40m every time

That is going to happen, the only solution will be to sit inside the the 21 and allow the opposition to collect the ball and then tackle !

A keeper only has to kick it minimum 13m, by the rules

I know lol. Talking about when the rules are brought in for senior football

Did a game in the Ulster winter league couple of years ago, blowing a gale down the pitch, the keepers couldn't kick it 10 meters never mind out past the 40 or minimum 13 meters
