Don't think there was ever any doubt about the lads ability but imo United right to get rid as he's a sc**bag.

United are trying to get rid of plebs, not bring them back....

Last goal very controversial. Clear penalty for Benfica - Barca break away and score. VAR bottles making a huge call!

Last play of Benfica v  Barcelona

Are you saying a clear penalty on the basis of that clip or is there a better angle? Looks like a massive dive to me.

Brutal from Villa and now leaves the Celtic match as a must win and hope for other favourable results.  They had their chances last night, and one in particular that fell to Watkins in the 1st half,  I couldn't help but think that I wish Duran was in that position. That being said, when Duran and Watkins eventually played up top together, it didnt work. It completely sucked the momentum from a game that we were looking likely to get something out of.

Have a soft spot for Barca, but the Benfica player was jumped all over bearing down on goal.

gallsman

What are you on about "bearing down on goal"? There are about 20 of them in the box with the ball pinballing about the place.

He may well have been fouled, so again I'll ask have you seen a different angle replay or are you simply saying "clear penalty" on the basis of that footage?

Man City lost 4-2 against PSG as it stands they are a couple of points off 24th place in the table with a game to play.

City win next week and they're through as some of the ones above them play each other.

They'll win at home to Brugge.

Villa v Celtic looks like it will be important for both sides.

City looked very slow last night.

They need fresh legs in midfield, their current set of midfielders have too many miles on the clock and their full backs are also not at the required level.

They very well may qualify for the knock out stages, but won't go much further.

I don't know about that if they beat Brugge at home and get a decent draw in the qualifiers they could be hard to stop especially with them out of contention in league cup and league.  If they get through that and as things stand, they could draw leverkusen, milan, atalanta who they would be favourites to beat over two legs.  They wouldn't fear barca, arsenal, liverpool or inter either I don't think.  They could be helped by a few of these January signings  hitting the ground running.

The playoff round is re-seeded I think, so 9 would play 24, 10 would play 23 etc.

The form they're in at the minute, any of the teams around that 9-12 zone would be a problem for City.
