The competition needs Omagh CBS so last night left a sour taste.
Maybe a retrospective ban of the large amalgamated team could be in order.

Truth hurts

How many county players have SW Donegal? I d not think its fair. Are the schools playing football at their own grade?

I'd assume they do.

St Columbs Derry had players on the Cathair Doire outfit, but the school themselves are in the Markey Cup Final.

Sure was that Omagh game not in Healy park?  And the St Pats v Abbey match was in the Athletic Grounds.  I thought both of those selections were very strange too.

Strange Armagh getting effectively a home game, maybe somewhere in mid ulster would have been more appropriate.

Strange thing, i had heard Stewartstown for the Armagh v Maghera game then i heard Maghera asked for it to be in Armagh.

The final will probably be there so no bad thing for Maghera if they win give them exposure to the venue in advance of final.

When the Down amalgamation won the hurling title, Mageean Cup, the Derry schools weren't happy and I'm only picking them because they beat a Derry school in the final and the manager made the point in an interview afterwards. The amalgamation stopped after that but I'm not sure if it was actually stopped/banned or just the arrangement stopped.

Just took a look through the Omagh CBS team and it doesn't look overly impressive. Is there many from last year stayed on? Think I seen maybe 4 or 5. Probably don't pay enough attention to the underage club football than I should so not sure on how good they are but looked to be a drop off in quality

Why would anyone expect more than 4-5 players to carry through from one MacRory season to the next?
